Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Maybe I'm used to heavier guns? I liked it with it in, but it's honestly fine out and with the stock one as well. I couldn't imagine needing to go lighter though, but I'd be willing to try it! Do you have a link by chance?
  2. I like those better that the ones they have on their site, no cuts in the side or anything. Look super clean.

    Henning BP's

Getting ready to get going in USPSA again and setting up a Shadow 2. Henning has two options...."for" and "no" magwell. I know you can't have magwells in CO, but I honestly think I'm just going to take my Shadow 2 and run limited optics. I MAY want a magwell down the road, but to be honest I'm not competitive enough right now that it really matters that much to me. With 23 you're reloading on the move anyway, one time somewhere in the stage outside of specific requirement, so I can't think of how a mag well is terribly advantageous. I just want to shoot again. Has anyone seen the difference? Henning says the "for" magwell ones are cut a bit different at the top, so I'm wondering if they'd look weird in a gun without it. Either way there's a couple versions the standards work in, so since CO still exists I'm leaning towards just getting regular ones and running in LO without a magwell since I'm not gonna be busting down any podiums anyway. This way I'm good for both divisions...although the ones for magwells would work too I'm just worried about them looking funky on a gun with no magwell (think like a gap between where the frame ends and the BP starts). Thanks for any input!
  4. Wanted to add it may also be that the circumference of the barrel end of the SSI guide rod is a little smaller, but that being the case would still produce the same result (moving around). Just trying to see if anyone is aware of a matching tungsten rod for the ORANGE guide rod, not a standard Shadow 2.
  5. I have a Shadow 2 Orange I'm setting up and had a question. I know this makes little to no practical difference in the end, but is anyone aware of a tungsten guide rod that will work for the ORANGE version of the Shadow 2? The normal 2 has a more rounded end since there is no "plug" that holds against the bushing. I ordered the SSI Tungsten guide rod before I noticed the difference. When it got here I put it in just so I could see if I would feel any difference. I honestly do like the balance with it in (although I admit this could be placebo) which is why I'd like to try and find one, but with the rounded edge you can hear it tap around the inside of that plug if you shake the pistol. I took it out, never fired, but I don't even know if that would make a difference to be honest. I don't think so, but now that I know it flops around a little I just couldn't mentally deal with knowing it's moving around. Anybody got any ideas? Gonna order some Henning BP's and RT guts today...looking forward to getting back into the sport!
