  1. Looking for some options to have my Czechmate barrel reamed. Having a tough time getting my reloads to feed reliably. I’ve gone all the way down to 1.10 OAL and I’m still seeing failure to feeds. I’m noticing some indenting/marks on the bullet when I clear the jam.

I understand CZ barrels are hardened, but I’m nervous about compressing the powder if I go any shorter.

Any reliable contacts/shops I can send my barrel to would be greatly appreciated! Located in MA in case there are any near me.

  2. Wondering if anyone can recommend any holsters for a czechmate? The trigger guard doesn’t share the same footprint as my TS2, so my Ghost won’t fit. I see people use DAA, but they are never in stock.

would be running it in open USPSA so preference to a race style.

    thanks in advance!

Yeah, the Limited pro I don't have a TS2 to compare it to.  I tried writing Ghost again, this time with a pic of my comped Tanf.

The Limited Pro and the TS2 have the same trigger guard dimensions. I believe the holsters for their trigger guards are interchangeable. I have the Ghost One S for my TS2, it should fit your Tanfo

I run them through my APP with a sizing de-capping die before washing. My reasoning is they dry fully, faster and everything is clean. I also feel you get the solutions rinsed out better. Once they are dried I’m done and they can be put away until I need them. I once washed some with the primers in, dried them for several hrs in a dryer.  I didn’t get back to load those for a month and the primer pockets were corroded. Not really bad but we’re kinda cruddy with a white powder. You’ll get multiple ways how to do it but you’ll have to decide which way is best for your situation and time frame.

good info. I’ll have to look into getting a deprimer and see what works

I have, and if you are going to you might as well size them in the process, and if you are going to wash them you might as well hit them with the lanolin lube to make it easy.  Before I got the 1100 I was depriming and swaging on a couple of Lee APPs, and did this, it make loading the sized cases VERY easy and smooth.  Even with the 1100 I may go back to doing this, I had a friend make some additional flats for the setscrew on the handle so I can shorten the stroke.  I may preprocess brass like this when I am caught up on loading.

I’m using a Hornady LNL at the moment which has the resizing die, figured I’d just have it done when it goes to the press. Any reason why it would be better to do it before cleaning?

I couldn't compare them side by side, but the CGW mount does seem to ride low, and I prefer that. I do wish I had three mounting screws, but I didn't know that prior to buying it. Doesn't seem to be a huge deal so far, though. I've only got two matches through with this setup.

The thumb rest in the pic is a lot better than the factory one with the CMORE mount for sure. It's a tiny bit wider and feels high quality. I like the placement of the thumb rest, personally.

it looks nice, I’m used to the tevo sports where it’s nearly straight up and down lol.

Does anyone have any suggestions or techniques for the best way to go from standing to prone?  What seems to be the smoothest and most consistent technique for getting into the prone position and on target quickly without tearing up your body or gear?  Monopod, bipod, or even with a Ching type sling?

Knees first?  Squat to single hand stand with support hand?  Same as with pistol, but with rifle tucked under firing armpit?  Others?

if you skip to 3:27, Rich demonstrates an effective way to go from standing to prone. Keep in mind, this is a combat oriented technique - not necessarily the fastest if you’re looking for a technique for competition…but effective nonetheless

I run the CGW mount because the CZC mount wasn't in stock when I really wanted one. Liking the DPP, as I had one laying around, but it'll likely be replaced with an SRO in the future since I have one on my Shadow 2.

My primary concern is the fact that it only has two mounting screws, but it hasn't loosened up. Nothing loctite can't fix. Ha.

Any issues or cons you’ve noticed with the CGW mount as opposed to CZC? I kind of like the smaller mount honestly. I do enjoy my tevo sports thumb rest on my TS2, also wondering as to the quality/placement of that thumb rest in your pic

I just got one last week. Just playing with it has been loads of fun.

I was able to talk with the HumbleMarksman on another platform about his experiences with it. He said that if a better option existed, he would be using it. He specifically cited how light it was and how it wouldn't affect performance.

In my experience so far, the phone app is pretty good. You can easily access the storage of the recorded media ON the camera and export it to your mobile device. For me, this is good because I have an iPhone and an iCloud subscription. This means that I can easily grab all of this video, open icloud.com on my computer, and download it all to my computer for editing. Depending on how much editing you want to do, you can just crop out the make ready to just before the beep and then just line up the videos in order.

good to know. I’m looking for something super small and easy to use. And it seems to fit the bill

One of my most recent examples.  One thing I have noticed is that the plastic composition varies from mfg to mfg and even within model lines from the same company.

Glock's plastic makes the cleanest stippling of what I have tried.  CZ's P-09 and P-07 are easier to stipple than the P-10s.  I'm referring to how easy it is to get a crisp pattern.  Some tips that make sharp patterns on a Glock made a mushy mess on a P-10.

That looks super aggressive. About how long did that take you to complete, start to finish?

  11. Go Fast Don’t Suck makes excellent quality jerseys.

my sponsor sent me a jersey by Techwear and it also feels great.

For reference, I’m 6’ 280lbs and the 2X (for both companies) fits me great with plenty of length to tuck in.

I've tried a ton of connectors. Alone, they didn't do much for me. You can just polish a OEM (-) connector. I have Overwatch Precision DAT triggers with their NP3 - connectors in a few Glocks and I like them. Total cost = $120. But all my Glocks have what, for me, are combat triggers and not low weight game triggers.

Having said that, I really like the Gen 5 triggers as they are. Just buff them up a bit and go shoot it. At a match, see if you can try others' triggers to see if it matters.

similar to what Igh said. If you’re running it strictly for competition, there’s a bunch of low weight options out there. Timney is one I see used a lot.

if you have any plans on ever carrying your G19 for carry or personal defense of any type, keep it stock and polish it up. If you feel so inclined or hate the OEM Glock trigger - Apex makes a great upgraded trigger that is reliable enough where many police departments use them. Reliability is key for any carry pistol

  13. I used the granulate grips on my duty G17 for approximately 1 year.

Take this with a grain of salt: the grips took some abuse from work (daily OWB carry, rubbing against cruiser arm rest, scraping on the ground, etc…). I only saw a year out of them before they got so marred up I had to take them off. I have since put new ones on and will continue the cycle as I think they are very good at doing their job.

I fully endorse talons and I use them on most of my personal guns, their life seems to hold up great for personal EDC though.

  14. I see this camera being used by numerous people at matches. Been thinking of picking one up for this upcoming season.

Can anyone with experience tell me how user friendly it is to edit videos? Also open to hearing pros/cons.

    thanks!

  15. Any thoughts on running revolver like open? Do whatever you want to it (dots, lights, etc…) and just have 1 unified revolver class that allows for any modifications. If you wanna run irons cool, if you want to throw a dot on, go for it.

I understand there may be some that have revolvers more able to perform better with more enhancements; however, as one user mentioned before me: revolver is the smallest division by far. Might see some more numbers if there weren’t any restrictions on modifications

Yeah, this is not rocket surgery 🤔

Best to practice on spare plastic pieces. U practiced on magpul magazine clip on covers. Used masking tape to get straight edges. Do outlines first then fill in. If you go too fast tip cools off and impression is not deep enough. Need some ventilation or fumes will be inhaled.

Have a brass brush handy to clean tip periodically so impressions remain sharp.

    Mark

    appreciate the tips Mark!
