I had an early example MPA DS9. Although it was a great shooter and accurate gun, there were a few things I wasn’t happy with. The grip was way too smooth, thumb safeties and beavertail not well blended and gave me constant hot spots, too much slop in the trigger shoe and although light not a crisp trigger at all. Fast forward to a couple of months ago when I reached out to David to address some of my issues. I had one of the BEST customer service experiences and genuine responses. I was emailed a prepaid label next day, got my gun back in about a week. They fit a new barrel, safeties, slide stop, trigger and fire control group, new aggressive grip and fixed beavertail, new magwell, 2 new MBX mags and the list goes on. The gun I received back addressed all my previous issues and shoots lights out. I would personally not hesitate to do business with them again and the experience gave me an unmatched warm and fuzzy feeling about MPA as a company.

MPA has great customer service. I bought an early DS9 and they contacted me for a free upgrade to current DS9 specs - just got it back. Great communication. I use their products for PRS and see the owner Phil regularly at matches.
What was the turnaround time for the upgrade? I just sent mine in and was curious. Either way I'm extremely happy with the CS i received from them. They're very responsive and efficient!

Impressive parts list and the build is looking great! I wish I had the knowledge to take on a similar project but I have to stick to ordering complete guns for now!

I also bought a Frenzy (SCRD-36), and it is de facto the same thing as the Viridian RFX-35 (but not green). I can't find them for a hundred bucks on eBay, though. Gotta be careful not to buy an SCRD-35, which is a Docter-mount footprint.
The SCRD-36 is the one I got from Aamdistributors on EBay, it was at $130 OBO I ended up getting it for around 120 shipped just to compare them.

Well I put one of the new BUL Armory red dots on it. The MS3. So far I like it. I don't know how well it will hold up but it's a nice optic. Battery is side load too. I have a bunch of random 9 minor loaded ammo I'm gonna run through this thing to see how it all holds up.
I bought a couple of the BUL ms-2 red dots that ressemble the SRO shape wise, fast forward to a few weeks later I read somewhere that they’re made by a Chinese company Vector and rebranded for BUL. So basically I bought a Vector Frenzy with a BUL logo at over double the price. I picked up a Vector on ebay for slightly over $100 to compare and they’re identical. The funny part is BUL claims theirs is a 5MOA vs Vector 3MOA BUT it’s the same exact dot and size.

Sorry about that. Did a quick google search and saw some available. My mistake, did not notice that the only ones available were LHD!I almost bought a left hand one by mistake from shooters connection, didn’t realize until last minute. I also recently contacted Everglades to ask if they had an ETA on the MRH and they responded ‘ not at this time ‘

The Everglades MRH felt great and would be worth jumping on if you find one available later. The Safariland 015 is also a great option if you're looking for something readily available *right now*.I was looking at the Safariland 015 also but they’ve been discontinued and I can’t find any for sale expect for left hand holsters.

I'd like to get my hands on an Everglades MRH right hand holster but they've been out of stock for a few months now. Currently using a black scorpion magnetic holster and it's been ok so far.

Somewhat new to open and still getting things ironed out. Thanks to some of our members who I have reached out to for advice on getting to where I am. So I would like some opinions on how the gun looks in recoil. I see these videos of people shooting a Chaos or Honcho or Infinity and how flat the gun runs. Big difference is those guns have poppels and I don't. I am currently running 9.8gr of SWMP with 124 for 171-172pf. Max my comp will handle is about 10.2gr I am also experimenting with a 22lb mainspring and 8lb recoil currently as suggested. What I noticed is in this configuration the gun does not dip as much as it did with the 17lb main and 7lb recoil. Main thing I'm pondering is is it worth a rebarrel to have poppels, will it make that big of difference from where I'm currently at?

The Honcho does not have barrel Popples. It's a dual port comp for 9 major and 38 SC, a single port comp for minor.

If the coatings are actually what's causing all the delays and headaches, why would they not bring that process in house? It doesn't require much in the way of time, space or equipment. And it would cut their cost and cut delivery times considerably.
It would only cost about 1.2 to 1.3 million dollars for a DLC machine. That’s a huge chunk of change

I should’ve been more clear, they swapped out my original MPA branded mags for 2 MBX ones.
