Dillon 1050 and Hornady Case Activated Powder Measure

Recommended Posts

I have used an LNL AP press for the past 3 years, but have now purchased a 1050. I want a dedicated powder measure for each caliber I reload. I am trying to cut down on conversion costs so I want to use the powder measures I have from my LNL on my 1050 instead of purchasing new Dillon measures. Can I do this? Does it work well? Are there any concerns I should think about?

I am guessing a case activated measure should work fine.

There re are pictures of Red & Green powder measures on blue presses on the internet.

Another option might be the LEE AutoDrum with removable inserts. Plenty of YouTube's showing how to use one.  Look at FortuneCookie45 for an impartial & critical review.  His Reloading bench is a rainbow of colors.

The metering inserts are about $4 each.  So you get one for each load data you use.  The powder measure is $35 maybe.  Buy from a retailer not LEE's website.
