ShiftyD
I am still pretty new to this reloading deal and just have not had the free time to load a bunch and test it out. I will be loading 185JHP and 230FN/JHP. These will be going through a sig220 and 5"XD. I loaded a few with unigue, bullseye, and power pistol as that is what I had on hand. Poking around here it looks like solo-100 is a pretty popular choice. I am just after a reasonably accurate load. There is soo much conflicting info out there it is nuts, one manual will state a starting load that exceeds the max load in another. I definatly do not want to blow myself up, but on the other hand I want the shells to eject. Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. G-ManBart
Get a copy of the Loadbooks, one book, one load and it will have most of the bullet and powder manufacturer's data all in one place. It makes comparison's a lot easier as everything is in one place.
soundwave
Clays is pretty popular with .45 it seems. I like it a lot with my 230gr LRN. 3.7 makes major in my 5" 1911. For jacketed I imagine it would take more like 4.0 gr or so to make major.
