sgtis108
I used a factory old style rear opened up a bit, for a couple of years with a Dawson FO front. Not a bad set up. It gave you a little more sight radius. Following that train of thought I bought a bo mar rear that hung off the back of the slide a bit, with the same front. I liked that set up the best until I spent a couple of days with Dave S training. This was in 07 when the Warren/Sevigny sights were just released. He asked about my set up and I explained my train of thought. He then proceeded to show me the light! I could see more of the target through the rear notch because it was not only wide but deep. Looking through his sights on a plate rack I could see more of the plate. The more visual input the better. I bought some immediately and have never looked back. I did get the plain front. The FO that I bought to draw my eye no longer did so. I found with the plane front I was looking at the front sight more because it was harder to see.
