Storm Lake GSR barrel

I am thinking of replacing the barrel on one of my single stacks and also testing the water for a ground up build. Does anyone have any experience with these barrels? It looks like Caspian and EGW both have the same barrels and Caspian is selling them 25 dollars cheaper. The no free luncher inside me says there is a reason for the price difference.

EGW has obtained a supply of a manufacturer's over run of SIG GSR barrels. These barrels made by Storm Lake Machine are a drop in fit and shoot well .45 ACP Caliber *Also available in Officers, Commander, 4 Inch Bull, 5 Inch Govt, 5"/5 1/2" Threaded, 6 Inch and Glock. Various calibers available as well. We were fortunate to make 5 parts for the SIG GSR 1911 project. (EGW Inc. Quakertown Pa) The vendors were selected for premium parts for SIG's first 1911 offering. Matt McLearn (previous IPSC National and World Chapion) and Makers inc. (they were in on the Segway) Chose Storm lake Machine for the barrel for this project gun. They Shot well and if you read any of the 10 or so Reviews in the Gun rags you know the gun was well received. This barrel will fit a High quality 1911 like Colts and Springfields. It is made to SIG Arms Spec. so it is a well thought out barrel for a production gun. The Sig Gun was based on the Caspian Arms Slide and Frame which are first rate. This barrel will fit any high quality 1911 5" full size gun including Colt, Springfield, Kimber and GI guns. This barrel includes the SIG GSR Bushing we designed and made for the project.

They aren't a true match barrel as they aren't oversized. Other than that they are a solid tube and the price is hard to beat if you aren't hung up on having a fitted barrel.
