slowsure
Has anyone had good luck loading plated rifle bullets in .270 or .308? It seems that poor accuracy and desentagrating bullets are my results with plated bullets at rifle velocitys. (2400-2700 fps) Should I give up and buy the more expensive jacketed bullets? Thanks in advance.
TBF
Slowsure, Give up now . Buy jacketed. You can use the plated bullets you have left for seriously reduced quiet plinking loads. Travis F.
Carlos
I thought the new line of Federal "Fusion" rifle LOADED ammo all used electroplated bullets? If plated rifle bullets do not work, then someone better tell Federal quick. Of course, not all plated bullets are Federal; don't even know if Federal will sell you what they are using for their ammo. What brand plated rifle bullets are we talking about here? slowsure
Carlos, I was given the bullets from a friend of a friend type deal, so I dont know who madew them. I think I know why they gave them away. TBF, Yea you may be right! Is there a max velocity to stay under with plated rifle bullets?
