popeye1948
I currently a dillon 1050. I probably bought more reloader than I needed. I intend to use it for more than one caliber, but I am also interested in reloading for a 50 Beowulf. Can this press be used for that or should I use another press for that? If it can be used, do the non-Dillon dies work well that I see Alexander arms website? Thanks
jmorris
I would give them a call. I had to machine a powder drop die to load for a 458 socom on a 550, the ID was too small. For the 50 beo, I thin you will need a 7.62x39 shell plate and a 500 S&W case feed setup to even get close. I have to ask, how much do you shoot it and how many rounds do you load at a time? I really like my 1050's but use other presses for rounds that I don't use as much. Expensive and time consuming to convert. On a 550 I can swap from say 7-08 to 458 socom in under 30 seconds and a 1050 tool head is $200 alone.
