Sergeant Spam
Just getting started prepping my brass to load .223, and I've managed to chip some small sections off the case head on a few cases while swaging. Still trying to get a feel for how much swage is required, and I don't have primers in hand yet to test... Are those cases scrap?
Guest
Check out this thread, it might answer your question. The 600 takes a bit of practice, but it works well once you get the feel. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=159649&hl= If you gouged the primer pocket more than just a little nick, I'd toss that one and consider it part of the learning experience. Sergeant Spam
VERY helpful. Thank you! Based on that thread, I've got the swage set too deep. The piece of plastic is a great idea. I'll test it with some spent primers, but at this point I'm glad I didn't do too much...
