bundyloco
First off, this is in no way a condemnation of any company I have listed. I have worked on this gun as well. I have a 24" non-ported Mossberg Turkey with the following additions: C-Rums lifter weld and trigger work (great guy) Nordic Components bolt handle Nordic Components +6 extension Brownells mossberg replacement safety button loading port opened up by me Every once in a while, I will pull the trigger and get a "click", but no fire. At that time, if I touch the bolt handle, the gun will discharge. I have noticed that when I release the bolt without a shell, it will "bounce" and not lock up with the bolt handle all the forward, but most of the time, the handle if forward enough to engage the lug on top of the bolt. If I hold the the gun vertically it will bounce enough that it won't even lock up. With a shell in it, the bolt slows down significantly. There is also quite a bit of play in the trigger group, but that seems pretty common with this shotgun. I tried holding the trigger group tightly to minimize movement and still saw the same lock up issues. I tried to do some research using "negligent discharge, hang fire, bolt lockup" and didn't really find much. I really like this shotgun and have been happy with everything else. Any ideas? CBags04
The slide that the bolt rides on isn't by chance contacting the forearm retainer is it?
