Ball & Dummy Rounds

I want to admit, that using dummy rounds while practicing. HELP. I am also going to admit that I didnt think that they would. They do. At least for me.. I had an AWFUL flinch, so - I was told to have someone load my mags with live rounds and dummy rounds, no order no limit to how many rounds were loaded into each.

Seeing how far the gun went down to the left, I realized, wow... I really have to focus on my trigger pull, I was jerking the trigger, slapping the trigger, I was doing everything but pulling straight back. ball and dummy HELPED.

I have improved so much on my flinch thanks to this, and of course practice.

I still flinch, but it is handled much better now!

yay for improvement!

Congratulations! Rememeber though there is a difference in flinching and timing the recoil. If you watch many of the GMs when they drop the hammer on an empty chamber (on the rare occasion that they do) the muzzle of their gun def does dip because they are timing the recoil. As long as you are seeing the front sight lift out of the rear notch and your trigger squeeze is consistent you are all set. Keep up the good work.

Cheers.
