It chronos slightly higher. barrel hole position is almost the same but this one is kkm which is known for higher muzzle velocity

I’d play around with the amount of powder some and see if that doesn’t reduce the excess powder being unburnt.

  2.

I personally only run my 9 major and 9 minor brass once and leave it on the ground for others so if you picked up mine it would probably be fine because I buy once fired brass from police ranges so it’s most likely only been loaded once.  Random range pickup brass could have been loaded multiple times and you could get a lot of split cases, bulges in the base of the case from somewhat unsupported chambers and loose primer pockets from hot loads.  Once fired  9 brass is cheap to buy. Saves your back and time on scrounging like a chicken at the range after a match or practice session.

  3. I have sent back 3 Romeo xl dots for warranty within a 4 month period. Back in 2022 when I got my limcats I had both equipped with 6 moa Romeo 3xl dots.  After 1 kept shifting on windage another on elevation and one the buttons just stopped working all together I sold all 3 and got the FTP alpha dots for my open guns and haven’t looked back since.  I’ve had no issues with the FTP dots in almost 2 years.

  4. I’ve experienced burn out multiple times.  My first time was after being the MD for my state sectional  and dealing with all that and the BOD at the club I was the MD for.   I found that stepping down as MD at that club made a big difference for me for a little while.   I still help out at all my local matches but not near at the capacity that I was.  Now when I experience burn out I switch things up.   I’ll run my carry gun for a while or pick a division I rarely shoot or whatever just to change things up some.   It’s not just all about the shooting for me.  It’s about the friends I’ve made.

  5. I’d start by taking that ridiculous “comp” off.  It doesn’t do anything anyway.  From there I’d check and see how it functions.   Most the 1911s in 9mm I see are running 9-10 pound recoil springs.    I’m running a 9lb recoil with a 17lb main spring in mine and it functions with just about anything I put in it.   Even bunny fart loads that I make for steel challenge.

    Update

I tried the 6.2 of HS6 under a 115 grain plated bullet and it didn't make power factor 124ish PF . It shot nice but nothing special . Then I bumped the load up to 6.7 and it made 130ish PF . Still it didn't seem like anything special . I also tried the normal load of 3.4TG under a 135gr bullet  thinking it would loose FPS. Well surprisingly  it didn't  was still the same 130ish PF.

Then I tried 5.6 of AutoComp under a 115 133PF  and this is the way .The gun settled down and acted like a ported gun should act like. I will load several hundred  and shoot The Battle of The Berms this weekend  should be a great level 2 match. Ill chime back in and let ya know how it worked out next week

What was your PF at 5:6 of autocomp?

Well that's a bummer. I had heard good things about them, but given how relatively new their Open build is, I guess it might be prudent to just spend a few thousand more on an Atlas I guess.

If you’re going to spend as much as an atlas build I’d suggest looking into rafferty, limcat or venom custom.   Much higher quality and better customer service and about the same price.

I'm not sure holster and mag pouch location changed much in prod and SS. At least for me all I did was move my pouches slightly forward. Generally I don't see guys running anything crazy there anyway.

I assume the intent was to allow AIWB, but who's going to run AIWB and five 10 round mags lol. Can't imagine why I never see that.

I help run a club in central Mississippi and we had a guy show up once and shoot production from aiwb.   He only did it once.  😂.  I think he learned his lesson real quick.

because no one shoots A fudgecicle nobody but a few crayon chewers and winder likkers want, and no one shoots limited, and no one shoots production, and no one shoots ss minor.

The last statement tho.   Almost 1/3 of the top 30 shooters at the last national match in single stack were minor shooters.   And second place was shooting minor.   I shoot single stack minor lol

the last survey for participation it was close to 17 percent iirc for limited.  Out of that 17 percent nearly half were shooting minor.

It worked, it really curbed the talk of L-minor for a while.

But now with LO and hi-cap production talk it's coming up a lot more. Really something like Limited but minor only would probably do better than 15 round production. Production 140 would probably be more popular too. But, anything is better than 10 rounds.

I’m not sure I see the need for a lim min0r division.  Especially with it doing as poorly as it is at the moment.   And the whole production 15 thing I don’t really see it being a game changer but having slightly higher capacity would be nice.

Yeah, you haven't been able to type Limited Min@r for a few years now. It was a attempt to stop the constant talk of something no one wanted.

These days vary few people even want Limited so that feature probably doesn't need to exist anymore.

Ahhh.  Never typed that in here before 😂

Anyone can try it anytime.  Lim minor numbers are always low to non-existent.

A fudgecicle nobody but a few crayon chewers and winder likkers want typically makes up almost half of limiteds participants…
