  1. One of the guys out to the club just got back from Camp Perry, and said that the prices and availability were real good out there. Lowers for 89 bucks, LRPK's for 60. All kinds of stuff that was sanely priced. Everything, I guess, except for a wide variety of primers.

  2. One thing that always bugs me about stories like this is, what was he actually doing that required police intervention? Why should you have to show your papers to someone because you are out walking around?

  3. I can only get 17rnds in the mags. Do you fill them up and let them set and compress? Any other tricks? I've got the TF mag pads.

Smack them basepad first on your palm, and see what happens...

  4. Do the 9mm and .40 M&P's share the same frame? I've got my M&P in .40 that I shoot limited with. What I'm wondering is if I could pick up a 9mm slide, drop in a barrel and a comp, and add a Burris or Jpoint to it. Pick up some 9mm mags, and 170mm extensions, and go to town. Would it work? Will S&W sell me a 9mm slide to do it?

  5. I thought the Arredondo basepads were supposed to be incompatible with magwells due to the way they attached to the mag body? Did you have to trim them to seat fully? Any issues?

I haven't had any issues with it and the magwell.

  6. Thanks, I how did you modify the Hogue holster? What about mag holders?

    Thanks

Had to hog out the bolt holes on the spacers a bit, so that it held everything firmly, with the trigger area totally covered. I use CR Speed mag holders...

  7. I'm about ready to order a MP 40. I'm planning on using it for limited only. What do you guy's like, best place to buy.

    Magwell

    Mag pads

    LH holster

    Sight

    What about guide rods?

    Thanks

    Magwell - Speed Shooter Specialties

Mag Pads - Arredondo and Taylor Freelance. Arredondo are easier to service. Taylors are a little nicer, machined from aluminum.

LH Holster - I use a Hogue PowerSpeed, modified to work better with the M&P.

Front Sight - Dawson Precision with a red FO rod

    Rear Sight - Warren Tactical

    Guide Rod - Stock

Grips - Courtesy of a soldering iron

A lot of my parts came from right here, in the classifieds, otherwise, Speed Shooter Specialties is a good source for S&W pieces.
