    ......Why not work up some loads and form a US Modified Team for Bali in 2008?

    Hi there,

    this sounds to me as a very good idea, as an IPSC Modified Division fan, I would love to see a US Team!

    I always wonder why this powerful tiny little bastards are not having the attention of the USPSA?

    This is my gun, build by a gunsmith based on 1911 (.40S&W major with comp) parts:

    They should put a podium up on the range.

    Post the stage results

    Wait 1 hour for issues/arbitrations

    Announce the results and post to the web.

    Stand the winners on the podium at the range where all shooters are already gathered.

    Give a dinner at the end for those that want it.

    That's how they do it at EVERY OTHER SPORTING EVENT, why should we be different ?

    And this is totally right!

    Since I got rescued :rolleyes: from the WSH awards ceremony 2002 in South-Africa, I don't like these ceremonies and as a few posted here, its better to fix the ceremony procedure and give the results right in Time! :huh:

    Welcome (Wilkommen) to the BE Forums.

    Yes, prior to WSXII in Cebu, there was some "discussion" to eliminate Modified Division from Y2K onwards, because of the (then) newly proposed Production and Revolver Standard Divisions, but a motion to eliminate Modified Division did not actually make the agenda.

    thanks for your welcome. As you described, Fritz told me so at Cebu (hum, I should visit the philipines again for a match, it was a good time there :wub: ), and of course, he gave the same infos to me like you did.

    Well, I'm shooting the big European matches for years and had that "Production" and "Revolver" thing live at the stages. Both are established today and in my opinion, its an enrichement for our sport (as the "Modified" thing is :rolleyes: ).

    Hi Guys.

    Well, what can I say :mellow:.......

    Its like you can see around, God loves the beautifull difference and I.........I love my "Modified Class" gun :) .

    I remember some discusions I had with my MD in 1999, short before the WSH at the Philipines. I told him, that after WSH, I would chage from standard to modified and he asked me why, because of ".....next year (2000), modified will be buried :ph34r: ....." .

    Well I'm doing my little baby until today and see specially here in Germany more and more shooters going the modified way :) .

    And of course its not my thing, I love the revolver shooters, I love to see those fast guys finish the stages.......

    So, John, don't you worry about me B) ........and see you next year!
