[Preferred grip tape]

Used the Jessup grip tape instead of stippling a pistol grip. Found a template online that "mostly" worked, had to make a few mods to the template, but once done, and cut, this stuff is like gripping your pistol with Stickum on your hands. Seriously legit.
The downside to this application? I wouldn't recommend holstering so the grip is against your skin. I would imagine any sustained movement would result in shaving some epidermis from your body. Sometimes a good thing, but not in this case.

Having “specialized” grip tapes. Companies who make this kind of skateboard grip tape know that they prefer it on a higher grit-level than most. It does provide grip strength. 

[Cleaning the cheely grip]

Rub the tape with a soft wire brush; then use the rubber piece. Rub it hard across the grip surface in a straight line & check whether the dirt comes off. If necessary, rub it more vigorously.

[Frame thickness]

Purchased a grip tape from Mob grip or a Grizzly griptape. grip tape cannot be too grippy, in this case, grip tapes that are extremely grippy are good for me because overtime grip strength will wear out.

[Oils and grease]

You can find a lube alternative around the home if you are in a bind, like motor oil or even canola oil, cooking oil or spray. The famous WD-40 is not a lubricant, but a solvent; hence, it should not be applied to lube or grease any moving parts.

[Grip Tape]

Grip tape of skateboard is very helpful for people who is sweat (like me). It helped me maintain traction and stability.
