Am a late bloomer, i started and got to own my first gun and shot IPSC in 2002, 41 at that time... took a leave of absence from shooting in 2008 and just started shooting again this year...

Para barrels are cast, and they do crack at the area of the lugs. That looks like a prime example. Have you notice more soot or gunk inside your slide and frame in that area. I think you should get ready for a rebarrel. Para will probaly replace it in warranty when it fails but if I could afford it I would have a GS replace it with a good aftermarket unit.-----Larry

Thanks Larry, actually am planning to replace it with a barsto or schuemann match barrel, am just saving some fund for it, but this problem came up too early...now i have to adjust my timetable...

Am through cleaning my barrel when i noticed this line across the land and groove of my Para Ord barrel. Is this a crackline ready to give way anytime????
