  1. were you talking about this guy with the hole in the hand?

    michaels

that only happens when you try to shove a moon clip into the grip of a revo(you just hope and pray that not even the RO saw you make that mistake).....................yes i have made that mistake.....damned bottoms feeders.

  2. oh i meant no harm by my comments reguarding idpa. i shoot it because it is close. i do not frequent the idpa section here as it seems that you have to be one of the "good ole boys" to get any answers or help. you guys are great in here as it is revolver specific, not competition specific.

i would say dont change a thing

  3. I hope the Revolver Forum will suffice for IPSC & ICORE. I like hearing about both. And like shooting both.

It's just those ICORE guys are so polite and low key. Not like the loud, and some would say obnoxious (least that's what all my teachers said many years ago) IPSC types.

    I like both kinds though.

please dont forget about the few lost souls like myself. those who enjoy ipsc, but seemingly shoot idpa more. at least i do it with a wheel.

  4. i had put about 1200-1500 rounds through mine before getting rid of it this past weekend. it was a great gun, held up very well. 2 downsides that i found. the V nothc rear sight bugged the shit out of me. combine that with the huge FO front and precision was merely a dream. the other thing was extended shot strings seemed to heat the gun up to a point were the trigger pull would change to the heavier side.

action work was identical to the 625 that i bought(i didnt do much but smooth it up). the factory chamfering of the cylinder was great. the black portion of the finish did seem cheapish, but it worked.

as stated before, the gun was meant to be carried more and shot less. it was because of this i decided to let it go.

    hope all this helps

  5. since it is a moon clip gun it has to run in ESR, thus it has to run with a 165 minimum power factor. the 625's are a heck of a lot easier to handle at that power factor......and the big hole reload faster.

  6. great match with great people all the way around. i truelly enjoyed shooting the match. now if i can just start to figure out how to break down a stage and actually stick to a game plan things might work better. and i really hate it when those damned "white guys" jump out in front of a speeeding bullet, who do they think they are, Superman?

thanks again to mike and all of OOPS

  7. most everyone here is using a smith&wesson in 45acp. some are the older 25-s' and some are the newer 625-'s. i am using a 4 inch 625-8JM. i dont think i would buy the jm series again, but i do like the grip on ocassion.

there are a few rebels here who shoo thte smith 610s in 10mm/40s&w. i dont know much about them besides i have been lusting for one for about 8+years. now i will have to pay a whole bunch more money for one.
