110 vmax on 49g of 748, does 3180 out of my 20" dpms barrel, hits em near n far. 9" less drop at 500yds, pitifully little recoil, and cheap.

110vmax and 135smk's are very popular, I use the vmax's. At 3180fps out of a 20" tube with a Rolling Thunder brake, 49g of 748, a lightened carrier from Triangle... Its loud fast and flat. Its an irons gun so naturally lighter than a TO rifle, about 9 pounds. Splits manageability, IMO, depends really on how aggressively you run the gun. If you're wanting to throw Benjamin's at it, you can get it fairly close to a 223... Maybe. Or, you can get out there and hang on to it and own that sucker. Think about our forefathers who were running full power .30-06 loads in their 06 Springfield's, garands, and BAR's. Like Benny says, grip it and rip it.

"reserve met" ...........

i would have liked to see someone like Ray Stevenson cast as Reacher. Like the books, have many of em, flat out refuse to watch a tom cruise movie. except for collataral

I think a 7" barrel will do everything that is needed in 3-gun, after that it is all wasted space.
Not much sight radius there oh "irons" man.

110g Amax at 3180fps in my irons 20" DPMS and is more than accurate. Other than that. 135 SMK's and 168 SMK's.
-
plain old A1 on both my 308's. A2 is just a bit too much LOP for me (6'00")

$1200 entry?
id like to see some stage descriptions before i pony up my portion of that

With changes in my employment, no vacation, and all the political b.s. I find my self having a tough time entering matches this year.
Except this one.
My check and app goes in tonight. Back for more heavy irons.

umm. yeah we do. waiting to see if i can leave my comp on my m1a or not.

those are what i run in my M2...

In what universe are you going to use 62g to 1000yds? ;-)
Little busy for my taste.

Pmag with flatland forge extended baseplate for prone shooting. Also makes good starter mag, 21 in the mag and no topping off. They also drop free very well, where I found the c products tended to stick.
Side note: wilderness mag pouches.

did a test about a month ago with every kind of low to moderate recoiling slug i could order through the shop. 50yds they all, every one, shot damn near the same place through my m2. slightly high and left. b&p included. yeah i like em, but theres plenty of replacements out there.
including what pat suggested.

thank you very mucho

Dunno. Hence the reason i ask.

Again. Sorry dan, i meant length on the mid gas port.
-
Looks mid gas with rifle handguard
-
i'll take em off your hands, my M2 loves em.

IIRC the trigger in the Colt is not replaceable, where as I know the S&W is. I've played around with the Colt at the shop, wasn't impressed. bought the S&W instead, installed a JP fire control, added 4 extra mags, Meopta in a JP mount and have been banging away ever since. couldnt be happier. eats everything i've fed it from cheap remington to federal to CCI minimags and stingers.
IMO the S&W is a MUCH better piece.

sorry Dan, i meant the measurement of the hole (distance) from the shoulder where it meets the receiver to the center of the hole
-
I'm gonna re drill the port on an existing barrel, but i'm having a bit of a time finding an accurate measurement of where to drill. can one of y'all help a brother out? like with reference points?
-
i've 2 cproducts 308 mags and they are both tight into the magwell, mainly due to I feel is the thickness of the coating. otherwise they work fine.
Pmags for me though, or DPMS steel mags. Higher capacity makes some nice welded mags too.

lotta sweeps there.. as a Texan, I'dve been a lil pissed
compressed 308 loads?
