  1. I saw Steph at the MS Classic two weeks ago. People were asking when the application would be out and she said, "Keep checking the forums."

She gave no inside information there, even the local Louisiana shooters had to be on their toes.

I noticed on one of the forums the application was out and jumped on it. I have friends that made it, and those who didn't.

If some believe there's a conspiracy afoot, then I feel sorry for you, because you don't know her for who she truly is.

  2. This is really unfair to striker-fired guns. The double-action/single-action platforms can go as light as the gun will fire after the first shot. My CZ is 6 lbs for the first shot, and a low 2 from the second shot on. I've felt some lighter than that.

The new shooter to this sport will usually start off with an Xd/Glock/M&P rig. The lighter weight helps them develop trigger control. To the experienced shooter it doesn't make any difference.

The rules are good the way they are. No make or model of gun has a capacity advantage because of the 10 round rule, and just look at the top-3 at the World Shoot this year...Wasn't it Glock, Beretta and CZ?

This issue came up a couple of years ago and it didn't happen. Production has been wildly successful so why mess it up? And as for who makes the rules, members are what make USPSA, not the other way around.

  3. I voted: I shoot Production frequently and DO NOT AGREE with the proposal.

I shoot a Shadow that was built by Matt Mink, so my gun isn't affected. This is clearly unfair to those shooting the striker-fired plastic guns, and CZ shooters need to say so on behalf of that crowd. You never know, there may be some bad rule pushed off on us one day, and we'll need their support.

This needs to be stopped NOW.

  4. Question on stages. Will there be any long range shots. I know last year we were taking bets on if N0.343 bullets would bounce once or twice before making it down there. And now I hear that the bullet must pass through the paper target not just mark it. :roflol: Later rdd

There will be 25 yard x counts...strong hand weak hand on one stage. The rest of it is just fun stuff.

  5. I have student I'm working with that has one. He thought maybe it was him, and to some degree he was limp-wristing the gun. I test- fired it with wwb 115's....plenty hot on chrono...not the issue. The slide just isn't being pushed back far enough to cycle the gun. Failure to extract, eject and feed. If I would have had and old spring to drop in I know it would have worked. Dont know if the previous Gen 1 thru 3 systems work in the 4. It's not mag related as it does it with all of them.

I think the gun just has too much spring...new spring sysyem is just strong. I've owned 14 Glocks and haven't encountered this. I cleaned it and and hit all the lube points, we fired it and it did just 2 times more as we approached 600 rounds. It didn't do it the last 150 rounds.

    Thoughts anyone? Thanks in advance.

    Cliff

  6. All it would take is a reporter with a hidden camera coming to one of our matches...USPSA would look so good with the teeange locker-room gutter talk. Ask yourself, do you really want to be the shooter that makes us all look bad? I'm sure USPSA's sponsors would love that. Are you really that selfish? If so, you're a very sad person.

So, keep your F-bombs, dirty jokes and the like going...It's your "Right."

If your club has 95 to 100% male attendance, there's a good reason for it:

    Look in ther mirror.

Edited: There is a rule in the book to address unsportsman-like conduct. MD's and RO's should step up and enforce it.

Damn good product! Dave is a nice guy that does great work. I've done business with him since he took over the company in 98, or, 99. You will not be unhappy.

BlackSabbath - a couple years ago you chose to use the word "Damn" here on this very forum. When I was a kid, saying "Damn" would have earned me a good whipping. Why do you advocate restricting others use of colorful language on the range when you use it right here where everyone can see and read it? Is "Damn" profanity or isn't it? My mother certainly thought it was! Pot - meet Kettle.

Oh, and ouch....you really got me with that one.

    Yes - I certainly did.

    Not really...weak at best.

    Seriously, Have you considered counseling?

Personal attack? Seriously, is that all you've got?

Sorry, actually I meant it in a good way.

Sure, if you need psychological counseling....I'll help you out.

Read the whole thread. I said I've been guilty of the same. Doesn't make it right. Big difference than some jerk going around the range dropping F-bombs.

Oh, and ouch....you really got me with that one.
