  1. I have the Magpul PCC drum and, knock on wood, I have not had a single issue with it after putting probably 1500 rounds through it so far. After running the 5.56 D60 for years without issues, I think Magpul has the drum magazine figured out pretty well. At least in my experience

Woodland Brutality, May 14th and 15th at the Echo Valley Training center in West Virginia.

2 Gun match opens for public sign up tomorrow on Practiscore.

    Search under InRangeTV.

You can see videos on YouTube of Desert Brutality and Finnish Brutality to see what is involved.

Rifle/pistol, or PCC, also AK-47 friendly.

Do you have a link to this match?  I have searched for it and cannot find it anywhere on Practiscore or on the Echo Valley Training Center website.

    thanks

  3. First time posting here, and not sure if I'll get banned or slapped on the wrist for something I recently posted in classifieds. BUT... I get really frustrated with the prize table marketplace/classified resellers of prize table winnings.

I have been in competitive shooting for a few years at this point, but it hasn't been until this past year that I've had the luxury and honor of walking prize tables. Out of the few prize tables I have been fortunate to walk this year (2021), I attribute that luck to the lack of ammunition and the other issues going on, and my keen ability to circumvent those issues, political and financial.

For the prize tables I had the extreme pleasure and absolute joy to walk, I always picked up something I NEEDED or WANTED. For the one prize table that was a random draw, I sought out people that wanted to trade or NEEDED the items I won. I still have random winnings I don't know what to do with, but an opportunity will present itself.

Call me naive, as much as I love prize tables, I don't chase prize tables.

Something I hate is coming onto forums and seeing prize table winnings being sold for extreme prices. I stumble across prize table winnings after a major match that people expect full price for. How about this, instead of haggling with a complete stranger on the internet, paying for shipping and whatever additional fees he/she may want, or worrying about a f

Gift Card/certificate that expires in 30 days or less, I'll just go direct to a well known website or my LGS and pay the same or nearly the same price as what some internet rando is asking....

I have stood in at least two prize tables this year where I was behind someone, wanting to pick up what they were eyeballing. They were eyeballing that product saying "I can sell this for a lot of money".  Meanwhile, in my head, I'm hoping they skip it so I can pick the item up to use on a firearm or use it in a competition. That's pretty disheartening.

I understand people want to pick something up to earn their entry fees back through selling it. And I don't expect anything to be sold for pennies on the dollar. Heck, I have two prize table winning I'm trying to offload right now, but I'd rather TRADE it to someone for something I need than sell it.

I only hope that one day, in all disciplines of competitive shooting, that competitors will consider "paying it forward" or "take care of others" with their prize table winnings. That doesn't mean give the items away for free, but consider other avenues of offloading them. If you win an item, maybe consider a trade of something that is of equal or greater value that a new or new-ish shooter might NEED.... if it weren't for shooter's like that in my area when I first started showing an interest in competitive shooting, I wouldn't have gotten into this sport I call a hobby, but which I love.

Just my .2 cents on the matter

    Thanks for your time,

    Brandon

I shot open w/ my TTI M2 before getting a box fed SG.  I can ghost load the M2 so I had 17 rounds to start.  My big magazine hold 23 rounds.  The Benelli gets front heavy with 17 rounds but the Benelli has an advantage when changing to slugs.

Can you explain how to ghost load an M2 please sir?

I'm also running a TTI M2 and strongly considering going open. Do most people rubbing a tube shotgun in open mount a dot?  If so, what's the preferred mounting way for a dot on an M2?

    Thanks!

  5. Looking for some help here.

I currently have a Legion X5 with a DPP for carry optics.  I also want to use use my Legion in 3 gun TACOPs.

Without buying a whole new Legion and GG trigger (which I know, I should just do that), does anyone have recommendations for aftermarket slides for the Legion.

I am looking at two now, I'm just not sure if they'd fit the Legion frame. I don't mind having to buy a new barrel if that will help.

    Thanks for any help

  6. I had some ETS mags for my Legion... would not recommend. They were really tight and caused multiple malfunctions.

For whatever reason, they run great through my normal P320, just not my Legion

  7. I've scoured the forums for any information on this semi-auto shotgun I came across at my local gun store.

It's an Orthos XR-12. I'm looking for any feedback anyone has, since I cannot find anything online about the shotgun.

I'm interested in switching from Tac-Ops to Open in 3 Gun, and thus shotgun seems to good to be true, as I'm sure it is.

Still, for the price, I need to see if there is anyone out there with experience with this shotgun,

    Thanks,

    Brandon

Once that goal is accomplished, we will focus on our ultimate goal of ensuring that any junior that wants to shoot a major match has the resources they need to do so.

The 2021 Invictus Practical Mid-Atlantic Multi-Gun Championship in York PA, is June 12th and 13th, 2021.

    This match is unique in the world of major outlaw 3 gun matches in several respects;

    1. You can shoot the whole match in one day.  7 stages.

    2. Prizes are all checks.  This means you don't have to stick around for a prize table.  If you shoot on Saturday you can go home Saturday night.

    3. The prizes are generous.  We pay out 50% of the gross.  That is a lot of money.  Over $10,000 last year.

    4. We give prizes way down the list in Tac Ops.  By using a modified Lewis class payout scheme if you pick your class correctly and shoot to the best of your ability you have a chance to win hundreds of dollars even if you are way towards the bottom.

    5. We keep our squads to a reasonable size and there's not a lot of standing around.  We run our matches much more like USPSA than 3GN or typical outlaw matches.

This 7 stage match will fill up quickly.  Do not hesitate to sign up if you want your choice of days.

Registration is through Practiscore and will open on Feb. 1, 2021 at 8:00pm.

Does anyone know if you can continue shooting with a long bicep tear?  My wife will kill me.

So.... Did you end up continuing to shoot?

I ruptured my bicep around the time you posted this, had surgery a few months later, and shot more matches in 2020 than any other year. I maybe went overboard to make up for the 2 months I couldn't shoot, but I got substantially better
