I saw that Instagram post yesterday. I just picked up a ruin tactical. Gives me 24+1 with the henning pad but not the TF brass. Run perfect so far but The quality is s#!t. Clearly a poorly 3d printed part.

Have you ever shot mbx mags? Their followers are the same way. Lol

Double Alpha doesn’t have a Racemaster holster insert block at this time. Anyone know what might be the closest fit?

I’d guess shadow2 or Tactical sport block but that would get expensive just buying to try.

I’ve got a second one coming. I’m going to throw my Romeo 3 max in there since my two SROs are on my shadow 2s.

Which plate are you using? Seems like the factory plate puts it very high up. I got the disruptivedefense plate on my other one which drops the dot way lower but they don’t make a plate for the R3 max.

The R06. I was going to order the FTP plate because the factory one doesn’t have recoil bosses but I ran probably 6-7k with the stock one with no issues so didn’t bother buying the aftermarket plate

Took it out to the range for a couple of quick mags worth of ammo. First mag I ran the factory recoil spring. 25 Yard Double Taps  image.thumb.jpeg.9bbb8a162e6a9e63e530e07d18c41d1c.jpeg

Second mag I used a Glock Store non-captured tungsten guide rod with a 15# G17 GS spring (only because I had them in the shop) and all was good and I liked the added weight up front.

    10 Yard Double Taps

I also have a 13# GS Spring that I haven't shot with but it feeds the ammo into  battery well.

Now the question. For CO do I want another SRO or do I want to try something with a bigger dot?

I have the 3XL on mine. I can send it with Bruce next weekend if you wanna check it out, I’ll be at work

What holster is everyone using for the rival? I don’t like the factory one

I must’ve missed the RHT add. That’s the one I was looking to order

They made a batch, then quit and I think now they have started back offering them.

Mine is actually a holster for a 5.25 XDM that I heated up and refit to a Rival. Worked like a charm.

I’m going to try to get a SMC holster with TLR-1 and a Red hill tactical holster posted up on the classifieds one day this week.

The stock holster is thin as John Wayne toilet paper but I can get some super spicy scoop draws out of it. Lol.

  7. I’ve been running a T-1000 for about two weeks on a CO setup I’m playing with while waiting on my open gun to be built. I absolutely love the Hanger.
I haven’t noticed any discomfort on the thigh like a couple others have had. The biggest pro to me is the adjustments allowed me to set it up for exact draw stroke I use with my race holster in limited/open. I like to have the barrel positioned a good bit out front instead of pretty much vertical like all other holster hangers.

Ohh separate plates idea I like. I didn't include mags or anything either since those are extra either way. I do love the pistol though.

It’s all about catching it on the two free barrel sale. I did 3port 9mm, single port 9mm, 40 sight block barrels.
Ambi shielded safety, stainless grip, double undercut, both breech blocks, two tone finish, slide racker, rear sight plate, optic mount and all the ano stuff red and mine was 62 and change

Thanks for the info. Do you know if a Romeo 1 PRO will fit on the R06 plate?

I was not aware the Canik plates would work with any Sig Romeo.

don’t quote me on this but I believe the Romeo 1 pro uses the DPP footprint which would fit plate R04.

Thanks. Am currently using a Vortex Venom on my Rival w/ the "01" plate. This plate has 4 bosses. Will have to check the other plates that came with the gun for the "bosses".

    The R06 plate(biggest) for Romeo3, CMore RTS2, FTPalpha doesn’t have any.

What plate did you use to mount the 3XL, a Canik plate or aftermarket?

    Thanks!

Using a Canik plate  for the moment but will most likely order the FTP Alpha plate if I decide to invest any time into CO.  I don’t like the fact that the Canik plate doesn’t have recoil bosses. Seems to be doing fine for now tho.

  12. I also decided to jump into CO while I wait on my Open gun to be completed. Went with the blacked out Rival. Installed the W74 Tungsten guide rod, 14lb commander length spring, 29 newton striker spring, Sprinco Trigger spring/CCW reduced power Plunger spring. TF brass back strap/base pads, and grams small frame CZ follower kits for 23+1. Topped it off with a Romeo3XL and some Silcon carbide that’s probably a little to aggressive.

Trigger pull is sitting at a 2lb 5oz average. Probably will eventually put the FS in it because the take up to the wall is still a little longer than I like but once at the wall and through the break it feels great.  Got the rinky dink holster it comes with mounted on a T-1000 hanger while I wait on my holster from legacy to come in.  Really enjoying it so far. D6FA4509-8D28-4E15-99CA-1805FA72D11F.thumb.jpeg.16c6ac5582b167945463033e7f442318.jpeg

  13. I use the TF pads and grams springs/followers in a 40cal TSO. I’ve had no issues what so ever with grams springs straight out the package. 20+1/20reloadable is all you are going to be able to get in the 40 set ups.

    ULShooter,

Did you have to trim your (I'm assuming, short version) grips to fit to the magwell?  I really want that magwell, and I'm wondering if I will need the Toni grips for there to be a proper fit between the magwell and grips.  Toni Systems makes the X3D grips with a palm swell, but I just don't know if they are thick enough for me.  I know that Armanov spidergo thick grips would work for me, but I don't like the idea of trimming aluminum grips.  It aint hard, I know, but after spending $200 on grips and magwell I want it to look nice.

Also, in the pic it looks like there is a surprisingly large gap at the backstrap. Can the magwell be slid forward to close that gap?

I apologize for such a long delay I don’t know how I missed this.

No I did not have to trim the Short Lok grips at all for the magwell to fit. Slid right on.

And the perceived gap is just the angle at which I had the camera in that picture. The magwell blends almost perfectly with the frame as it comes.

  15. It’s not mine. Guy in our local had it done, but next match we are both at I’ll get some measurements and post.

I use the Toni systems open magwell but I took a dremel to the inside so that the Taylor Freelance mag extensions would fully seat. Can’t provide stock measurements for it
