Beyond the new divisions, it seems like the sport has grown. It could be totally anecdotal (and/or that I was living in California back then), but there seem to be a lot more folks excited about shooting sports in general.

Really excites to get going again and I’ve got kids to share the sport with this time; which adds another dimension of enjoyment. 
We’re new to the Redmond, WA area, so I’m still in the process of finding a couple regular, local matches to begin shooting regularly. I’m planning to shoot Single Stack initially though.
