I currently have a hard time to get the holes for my optic mount drilled into the SP01 frame.
I changed to Carbide drills which works, no I have the problem to get a tap to cut the thread.
Anybody has a source where I can acquire a tap which will work in the obviously heat treated frame material.

Well from what i gathered on information is that you need a lot of gas in order to have a comp working in general.
Kneelingatlas mentioned that a 5 port comp will not be efficient, especially with minor loads which seems not to generate enough gas to operate the comp.
Therefore I was considering to load major if with a 90 gr or 115 or 124gr bullet that I will see.
The industry advertise this small 2 -5 port comps, but is it really enough to keep the muzzle from rising?

I don`t need to shoot major power, i just like the idea to have a flat shooter.
Like shooting a 22 in 9mm, for me the muzzle rise is what i like to reduce as much as possible.

we just do steel shooting in our club, so far I`m not thinking about competing, my main interest is in the flat shooting

I got what you are saying with the additional gas I have to provide in order to have a functioning comp and get a flat shooting gun.
I will try a 90gr bullet with a slow burning powder to reach the 170pf, what would be a good comp I could use on the threaded CZ 75 barrel.

Do you think a SJC 5 port comp on the standard CZ 75 SP01 threaded barrel will provide a flat shooting with standard 115gr load in the 140pf range?

recoil looks nice, wonder how much difference there is shooting with comp or without with the minor load.
