    For what it’s worth, I had to take the trigger group out in order to get the JP safety out on my JP-5.  I called JP, and they said I might have to do that, and they were right.  The problem is that they Loctite the hell out of the anti-walk pins, and I had to destroy them to free up the trigger group to get it out from under the JP safety.  So I had to order new JP oversized anti-walk pins for the trigger group reinstall.  The guy I spoke to at JP was extremely helpful, so you might want to give them a call if you have any questions about your next steps.  In the end, it was all worth it for me because I LOVE the Radian Talon’s 45 degree safety switch for stock-on-belt starts.

    Thank you. Your inputs on the safety replacement is so detailed and helpful.

    Question: were you able to try the Radian Talon with the stock JP trigger? Coz if memory serves me right, i think you said you changed out to Geissele SD3G trigger and Radian Talon. If yes, did it work with the stock JP-5 trigger?

    I asked that in JP Enterprises Facebook page messenger and the one answering said the JP Trigger will NOT work with Radian Talon.

    Doesn’t make sense. 2 things hold the safety in and that’s the detent and interference with the trigger group. You sure the detent is out and not stuck up in there? I use a magnet once the grip is off to grab the detent and remove it fully.

    No need to use magnet. Just smack the grip area pointed down against your palm and the detent will land in your palm

    JP5 didn’t have an adjustable safety drum.

    You gonna feel silly but I bet I know why you can’t remove the safety. Did you remove the grip so that the spring loaded detent disengages from the safety?

    Yes i did. After removing the grip and the detent, the safety cant be pushed out. It just keeps on rotating

    Is anyone else seeing some wear at the rear of the ejection port? It looks like casings have been hitting there, and there are also two marks at the top of the ejection port.

    I dont see any wear mark in the ejection port area but i saw these marks now in the magazine area after my first match last weekend. Im using a Techwell magwell

    I did the same - installed an SD3G and radian safeties and it's run flawlessly from reloads, to factory stuff to some steel ammo just to see how it handles it.  At least so far....been a few thousand round with minimal cleaning.  So...we'll see?

    How did you remove the safety? I tried to follow the manual from JP but i think the safety in JP-5 is different from what's shown in JP's manual because it doesn't have those encircled parts and the one with an arrow in my attached pictures

  6. I was looking at the JP-5 components part of the website and i noticed in the roller replacement kit that they are offering different sizes:

    * -4 (7.96mm)

    * -2 (7.98mm)

    * Standard (8.00mm)

    * +2 (8.02mm)

    * +4 (8.04mm)

    is the sizes dependent on the power factor of your bullet just like in the lock pieces?

    im just checking is IG account every now and then for update.

    this is the best looking so far
     that is close to AR-style we are very used to, that doesnt require machining or modifying and you wont loose your take down feature. then followed by PMM Ruger PC Carbine MLOK RAIL (http://www.parkermountainmachine.com/store/p395/PMM_Ruger_PC_Carbine_MLOK_RAIL-Pre_Order.html)

  8. I was lucky enough to get my hands on Tandemkross' Ruger® PC Carbine™ Competition Combo (https://www.tandemkross.com/Ruger-PC-Carbine-Competition-Combo_p_518.html) that they offered only during the holidays for $94.99. although you can get both items individually. plus i got extra sear springs since im at it :)

    This kit contains:
    1 x "Victory" Trigger for Ruger® PC Carbine™
    1 x "Game Changer PRO" 9MM Compensator for Ruger® PC Carbine™

    where i got the Red Victory Trigger and Black Game Changer Pro. I dont really think the compensator was needed but im usually having problems with older timers during matches as they often cannot pickup the time for my shots which those with compensator that virtually has the same bullet specs as mine, doesnt have that problem. lets see if it would help.

  9. Hello! I am a soon-to-be-owner of a Rex Alpha. Still waiting for it to arrive in the Philippines. I will be a lurker/reader for now as I cannot giveout any kind useful information at this point as all my useful information right now beyond whats published in the website is from this thread but ill pick up first quarter of 2019 when I get my hands on this unit and test it out.

    Im an active competition shooter using a RIA Pro Match Ultra 40s&w for Standard Division, Glock 19 for both Production and Carry Optic divisions and Ruger PC Carbine for Open PCC division. Aside from competition, Im a defensive training/shooting advocate too. Im hoping soon id be able sharing my thoughts on both side of the spectrum (competitive and defensive) as well. Im choosing Rex Alpha over a CZ Shadow2 or Tanfoglio Stock 3 (because it has rails) because the Rex Alpha seems to be versatile enough to possibly take on competition and tacticool roles unlike the latter that are seemed to be fully geared for competition only. Plus looks of the Rex Alpha is so undeniably sexy and TactiCooL rolled into one! Though Im yet to see how it will play along with my g19 which currently has the role of production, carry optic, daily carry and defensive training gun.

    This will be my first time dipping my toes on the DA/SA side of things since I started shooting at age 7 (im 33 now) so i appreciate all the information that im soaking up from all of you. Thank you! :)
