  1. Well here is my two cents!

I was one of the people against changing the Standards for a long time, but one I shot it with no par time and blacked out X's I was sold on the idea.

I think no par times makes it better for everyone, If you fumbel a reload at the 10 or 3 your match is not over.

I feel a non par time Standards is better for the newer shooters and not so intimidating!

For the shooters that want to try and beat the former par times and save time for more X's where their stronger so be it.

If they keep Par times, I will have to finally put in a request to have the Overtime penalty change from a

(Match killer)10 seconds to 5 Like the rest of the penalties in Icore.

    Thanks

    John

  2. Congrats to everyone who shot the match. Looks like the open guys are coming close to catching Jerry. Only 4.76 seconds between Jerry and Rich. Nice job Rich. I think the bigger story is that John B. is running away with limited and no one is even close. If my math was correct, 43.49 seconds between John and second place. That is a pretty impressive performance. Are these final results? Website says from Saturdays results. Seems like most of the big names are listed.

    Congrats to everyone,

    Tom

    Hi Tom, John Bagakis here!

I would like to Thank all the Match Staff, RO's, Sponsors and shooters for another Great IRC!

I had a great match! I was down 2 C's and 8 B's for the whole match, I think I left maybe 18-20 seconds out there including the B's and C's!

There is something about the IRC, I shoot better than I should at that Match for some reason! I don't know why but I will take it!

    Thanks

    John

  3. Interesting......by far the largest gap between those scores is between 1st and 2nd place! As usual, Jerry stomped the competition soundly.

Congratuations to those who finished high on the list. A special kudos goes out to John Bagakis, who once again managed to place very high on the list using a limited gun. Nice job, John!

I was really hoping to shoot the IRC again this year. Unfortunately, I had a civil jury trial set to begin on Monday, and knew I would need this whole past week to prepare. Of course, guess what happened around noon on Friday? Frickin' case settles--I could have made it after all! :(

Thanks Mike, I had a pretty good match, I had two stages not go that well but overall I am pretty pleased with my shooting!

It was a great match as always!

Thanks to all that make this such a great match (Sponsors, RO's,Match staff, and the shooters)!!!!

    Thanks

    John

  4. I'm in Oakley, Ca about 15mi from you......I'll check with Bagakis and see if he has a ph# for a Smith in the Modesto area that's a shooter also. He's worked some magic with a few GM revo's out here.....

    Dan....

Thanks, Dan. I'd appreciate that phone # when you get it.

  5. Hi Will, John Bagakis here, I shot on your squad.

I have never used speed loaders before but I think getting the revolver more vertical will help with getting the shells out.

I have used Bullseye powder (With Moon Clips) for years with no problems.

I did not know that the LC.38 brass may not be leagal in IDPA (Too many Rules) Sorry about that!

You may want to come out and shoot the ICORE match on Jan. 30th at Richmond there will be several Wheel gunners there to ask about loads and gear.

    thanks

    John

P.S. we did pretty good for the wheel guns !

  6. It was a bummer that I had to cancel at the last minute. I really wanted to shoot this match. God willing I'll be there next year and I WANT MY CHAIR THERE. :D

On another subject, SONS OF NEMO got his fingers blistered putting a little something-something together for the match. If you have any feedback on the little one's work, please post it HERE. I hope you liked them.

    Til next time

    B)

I got one and they are great! Thanks for donating to the match!

    John

  7. Jerry congratulated me after the match. He is a class act and my personal hero. When I grow up, I hope I can be half the shooter he is.

Jerry is still the best ever and it is amazing it took so long before he had a bad match. I have them every other weekend. I hope no one thinks the next 10 years will be any different than the last 10. Well, there will be one difference. I plan on continuing to kick Bagakis's a$$.

I am just now getting to a computer.

First Congrats to Cliff he shot a great match and earned the win!

It was fun being in the mix, I had a chance or two to Win but could not pull it off!

It was great to see we have some new revolver shooters out there, Looking forward to shooting more Revolver next year!

As for kicking my A$$ you will have to earn it Cliff, I will not give anything away if I can help it!

    Take care

    John
