Does the comp really make that much of a difference? Kind of a loaded question I guess, but in comparison to a Hyperion, same factory ammo, same shooter - will you see a worthy difference? I have a Hyperion and I love it. I’m debating adding an Erebus to play in open eventually and deciding if that’s the right move, or saving some coin (possibly) and going with an Athena Slide instead is a valid option. Primarily a 3gun shooter.

If you're shooting a low PF, the comp may not make a HUGE difference. However, if your shooting ~130+ you'll definitely see a substantial benefit in the comp. I absolutely love my Erebus, and highly recommend it. I shot my friend Adam's Athena a few months ago and loved that gun too! If you're planning to play in open, (3gun) I cant recommend the Erebus enough!

Owner of that one on kens list says he is having elbow problems so who knows..

I dry-fired that gun Saturday night. It’s a fantastic pistol! The guy who’s selling it is a friend of mine. He hurt his elbow at CrossFit, and is having a problem shooting, (likely needs surgery). Poor guy..

  3. I have a Cheely steel grip on my major gun and a Cheely aluminum grip on my Erebus minor gun. If you can have a dedicated pistol for 3gun, steel matches, (minor stuff) the aluminum grip is fantastic! The Aluminum grip is light, durable, grippy, and flat out sexy..

Anyone have an Erebus? Any feedback?

Looking to possibly bite the bullet and order one. Currently have a Chaos, so I'm familiar with AGW's build quality.

    Thanks!

👋 I have an Erebus, how can I help?

  5. I wouldn’t hesitate using the little guy for any competition. Like every shotgun, you gotta find what ammo it likes. The velocity is not so much a knockdown issue. It’s again about finding the right ammo. A little faster shell seems to be required for 100% cycling.

I wanted to get one of their 3 gun barrels cut down to 17" and my question is did they charge you a lot to cut down one of their barrels or did you cut it down?.  Their 3 gun barrels are around $300.  When you say lights out are you talking 0.3 or 0.4 MOA with a few loads and pretty much sub MOA with most match loads (not 55 grain crap) or iust it a little finicky?

Sorry if this is taking the thread off target for my own selfish interests.

I had the barrel cut, crowned, and threaded by a friend here in Phoenix. I’m pretty sure that service cost under $100 from most smiths. It shoots around .4 MOA using my match ammo. One thing to add is the reticle on my Trijicon accupower 1-8 is not built for  shooting super tight groups. The barrel shines best at distance. Huge fan.

  7. I haven't run the barrel that White Oak is marketing as a 3-gun barrel.

However, I'm currently running the SPR in a 1-7 with rifle gas.

I bought the 18" barrel and cut it down a little over an inch.

    IT SHOOTS LIGHTS OUT.

I wouldn't hesitate running one of the White Oak barrels!
