I just received 2 TTI +2 base pads yesterday.  I tried them on 4 tubes. Two of them were too long and the other two just barely fit.  It looks like he is pushing enough that it is not 100% that it will fit.

I would say that could boil down to variances in the magazines when manufactured. That and the upper end of the tolerances for both the basepad and the magazine came together at once. Not a big deal imo, if it’s only slightly off i would just sand it down some.

I don’t like the laser engraving they have on it anyways. I asked if they would sell me some without it so I could get my own engraving on it and they said no. Which is dumb imo because that’s one less step to get it out the door. Or heck offer to have a small engraving on the front or something if your brand is that important to you.

I haven’t taken my mags apart and cleaned them with over 5k rounds on them. Ain’t no body got time for that.

    Nope.

On a side note, I wore out a follower towhere I wasn’t getting slide lock anymore. So I called sig and they wouldn’t sell me just the follower. Just the whole magazine. Idk if being a dealer or anything would be different but just a heads up

Hello: All of my 21 round mags with TTI base pads fit the gauge. One real advantage with the TTI base pads is that they come off easily with no tools. If my mag hits the ground I clean it. You never know what can get inside the mag when it hits the dirt. Thanks, Eric

Sometimes too easily. I’ve had the guts explode out on numerous occasions when I drop a mag.

Just my opinion but cleaning them every time they hit the ground seems like a lot of cleaning and a massive waste of time. I just make sure they move freely and aren’t gummed up in any way and roll on

  4. I took mine off on my x-carry frame. It was mostly digging into my lower knuckle from working the slide catch. I haven't gotten around to doing it on my x-5 though, would this be legal for production? I know you can do some minor changes to the grip but not a lot

If you get the TTI +2 and put it on the 21-round magazine tube, I would still get the Grams Engineering spring and follower kit. It won't allow you enough room to add a 24th round, but it does give you a tiny bit more wiggle room with the 23 rounds that make seating the magazine much, much easier. If you don't get the spring and follower kits, you'll still get 23 rounds out of the 21-round tube with TTI +2 base pad, it will just be very tight and you'll have to really force it into the grip for it to seat properly.

In my experience the Springer base pads do require the use of the Grams follower and spring kit in order to fit that last 23rd round

That makes sense. Now I’ve seen some mixed things about the grams follower kit, Do you get slide lock with it or no? Some parts if springers website says no, but a video alma posted said yes so I’m confused.

The only thing I have not yet tried is putting Springer's +10 extension on the OEM 21-round tube. The reason being is currently nobody makes a spring long enough to keep adequate tension on the remaining rounds in a magazine of that length, and it would be well over the 170mm length limit for USPSA Open division

Little bit of a thread revival but you van modify glock magazine springs to work with the p320 magazine. You just clip off a hooked part on it. TTI sells extra power springs for 31 rd glocks and the also sell them for the 31 +10 base pad for pcc.

I’m planning on buying the  promag 32rd magazine and putting a springer +10 pad on it with the glock pcc spring. Basically piecing together a 42rd magazine but I think with how modular the  p320 is and all of the braces and grip modules with stocks coming out it would be awesome to have the option for much higher capacity. We just need a company other than promag to make a big stick for it and someone to sell the kit to make it all happen instead of piecing things together.

Also from what I understand, if you get the TTi +2 basepads then don’t Bother getting the grams follower kit right? You won’t be able to fit 24 in there. But if you get the springer precision basepad, you kind of need to get it to be able to fit 23? Or am I off base?

  7. Has anyone tried the 32 round promags? I'm seeing mixed reviews on them, mostly that you need to switch the follower for a stock p320 one. I plan on buying a B&T usw p320 stock and sbr one of my pistols. I would also like to put a +10 base pad on the bottom of it (if it'll fit) for 42rds of fun but I have no idea where I would get a spring long enough for it. Any ideas?

Edit: after some digging and a little experiment on my own magazines, I may be able to use a glock spring in it from the 31+10 magazines. Tarran sells some and so does Taylor  Freelance

  8. It is very out of date.... and technically the gun met all of safety requirements to be able to be released so they don’t really have grounds for a case in my opinion.

I also bet they are trying to cut gun sales and companies however they can, if they can make a business lose a lot of customers or even go bankrupt thats a win. Especially since Sig is now our military’s pistol supplier

Don't for get that the X-Carry grip doesn't have the full rail on it. It seems to be an identical grip but it's chopped for Carry/Compact length slides. It will function the same, of course.

It is, i got my x-carry grip module a little while back, and immediately had to order 17rd mags because i forgot it wouldn’t accept the 15rders. Think glock 19x but sig (=better). Full size grip but compact slide

  10. I have a question for yall, would I be able to make production weight if I got a springer precision tungsten guide rod, remove the magwell and with .25 springer basepad? What about the .375? Does it still fit the box with the .375 if it does make weight? The reason I ask is that discussion about weights a couple pages back has me reconsidering some modifications  if it would put me over weight.

  11. I installed mine today also and then put the stock x5 trigger on my carry p320. I have dealt with heavy stock triggers almost exclusively and i’m just gonna say that it’s going to take some getting used to with the new one. The take up is so small and the wall is so easy to get over that it is easy (to me, like I said I’m used to heavy triggers) to pull it a little too much too soon

  12. Only real complaint of the show Ive heard so far is an overdone portrayal of a person with PTSD.

This is my complaint with almost every single movie/show that portrays PTSD at all. Like the movie Stop-Loss. They had they guy digging a fox hole in the front yard.... I can guarantee that has never happened.... I fully understand being more comfortable and used to certain situations and living conditions though (I for one have slept on the floor before because the bed didn’t feel right and it was the only way I could sleep) but no one has dug in a place to sleep in at their house.

Overall though I liked this series though, lots of good action scenes and a pretty good story line IMO

In Sig language that translates to you may see one Q4 2023

I sure hope not. Until someone comes out with a good green dot sight(that doesn’t wash out, trijicon )for pistols I won’t be getting one. Vortex said they don’t even plan on releasing one. And I haven’t talked to the others. At least sig gave some sort of timeline.

  14. I spoke to sig about a week ago and they said they are working on a dot sight with a green reticle, i’m super excited about that since I wont be getting a dot sight unless it is green. I can’t hardly see the red ones

  15. I once went a month and a half with nothing but baby wipes. And a water bottle to wipe my face and brush my teeth. Deployments are great! Seriously though, despite not having showers I still used deodorant and wiped down everyday. The worst bo I have ever smelt was from the locals in Afghan, not their fault entirely but it was horrible.

  16. In case y’all didn’t know, the xcarry requires a 17 rd magazine. Just got my grip module in today and I have to get new magazines before I can use it.
