I bought three TTI +4 base pads with grams springs and followers from a member here in the forum and installed it on my Shadow 2 mags. I can confirm that i can put 23 rounds in the mag plus one in the chamber.

    Perfect. Thanks!

I like the Henning pads with Graham's guts for 23+1.

Thanks. Any idea on the weight of the base pad? I believe the TTI's are 1 oz.

  3. I just sent my slide off for milling for CO. I have the 17 round Mec gar magazines. I know this information is peppered in other posts, but I want confirm, for 23 rounds, this +4 TTI basepad:

And for the grams follower, I would need the 11 coil, correct?

If there is a better or lighter option, I'm all ears. Thanks!

  4. Considering picking up a second X5 as a backup and I noticed that the only one on Sig’s website is the X5 coyote. I know there are some out there, but is this signs of a new release? I’ve seen mention of it, but nothing lately.

There is a factory 13# option?

I don’t beleive there is. A minor modification to the poly gun’s aftermarket recoil assemblies lets them rock in the steel frame. That’s what most are doing... I think.

Do you happen to know which aftermarket guide rod? I believe I saw something in an earlier post about drilling a dimple in it?

I would say it is in between the medium and the large, it's pretty thick. I sanded mine down flat on both sides, flattened out the backstrap a little and then stippled the grip. I don't even have to use pro grip now and it feels just slightly bigger than the small backstrap on the poly Q5.

Can you post a picture of your grip now?

What PF everyone running with their SF? I’m up to 140pf, but Discovered any slack in grip with this factory set up it will stovepipe ..learned this after coming into a position this weekend on a close target with a bad grip and confirmed in practice..99% wouldn’t be a problem but until some aftermarket options start coming in I guess I’ll crank up to 145pf

I haven't shot it in a match yet, but put a couple of hundred rounds of 135ish PF through it last week with no issues. And dropped a grain and put another 50 through it of 130 PF this week. Again, no issues. Not sure what would happen with a less than ideal grip, but no signs of issues so far.

I’d keep an eye out for a used limited gun in the classifieds, and shoot it for a season. Run all of your buddies limited guns too, every chance you get. Save money up here and there throughout the year.

End of the year you’ll be able to order exactly the gun you want, and pay that used gun forward to another budding Limited shooter.

I need to focus on CO! That's what I'm shooting now. I think my next division will be limited, but it may not be until next year. So, I do have some time to save if a more custom route is the way to go.

  9. Looking at the Dawson Super Tuned 2011 Edge in 40 and the CKArms "The Limited Solution". Both are around the 2k mark. I'm not well versed in the 2011 world, so wanted to ask if one was a better choice than the other? Or is it just better to save for awhile longer and go with something different. I'm sure this has been answered, but did not see it.

People need to understand that no trigger job will ever replace training.

I think it’s pretty common in the shooting sports to use aftermarket triggers. And to take it a step further,  walther mentioned releasing spring kits for the q5. So, not sure who mentioned forgoing training here.

I’ve never seen a TF pad in person for a  Walther so I couldn’t say. Simple fact is that Glock, Walther, SIG... everything gets 23 rounds max in a 140mm minor magazine length. That’s all the room you have.

I prefer TTI  pads to TF in general just because I do not need to remove screws to take a mag apart and clean it after it’s been dropped in mud or sand. Slide the pin down, and slip the basepad off.

    Thanks. Appreciate your feedback.

    Gun weighs 41.6 oz

You lose a little bit of weight ditching the plate with an adjustable sight for the blank one that mounts a dot. Perhaps half an ounce?

My Deltapoint Pro is one of the heavier dots, at 1.9oz.

That should put you right at 43-43.5oz.

Now, I just got my scale out for the following. These are exact weights, so hopefully the gun’s 41.6oz weight is listed with a magazine inserted!

    Factory 15rd mag:

    3.00 oz

23rd mag (TTI pad, grams guts for P320:)

    4.13oz

Are the TTI pads lighter than the TF +6’s that Walther sells? I just ordered the Q5 SF from gunbuyer. Trying to decide on components. I feel like the DPP is the optic I’m going to get. Currently shooting an X5 with a R1. This is my first go with Walther. But from what I can find, it uses standard PPQ magazines and the TTI is a +5 and the TF is +6. Grams gives you an additional +2?

  13. I have my Romeo 1 mounted and sighted in. I’m shooting my first CO match tomorrow. Question - I find the front sight a little distracting and I only use this for competition. Does anyone just remove the front sight for CO? I know that you can co-witness with the R1, but I don’t know that I will.
