  1. bharralson,

The Hayes Magwell is the one shown on the pic.  As far as the Remington R1 Mags.  I don't have them, but if you go to you tube/Hayes Custom Guns channel, they have tons of videos.  You will find answers for most of your questions as far as magwells,  best mags for RIA TAC/TCM..etc.

Hope this helps.  Let me know if you need a better angle showing the Hayes Magwell.

Go to this video..after min 4:30 Ben goes over Magazine options.

Thanks Hperea! I forgot he went through mags in that same video and said the R1's work with their magwell.

If you could take a full side profile pic, I'd really appreciate it. I'm not looking for the full race gun look and I don't want to feel like a poser since I'm not competing with it.

  2. I have a RIA TAC ULTRA FS HC 9MM.  This pistol was sent to Hayes Custom Guns for the HCG Package.  All I have to say is ....Wow.. The trigger breaks just under 2.5 lbs, finish and overall design are second to none.
In terms of magazine base pads call RIA or email them.  Their customer service is pretty good.  I wanted to go from the factory metal base pads to the plastics in some of my mags and they directed me to the right place.
You can also get the Remington R1 MAGAZINE:

It fits RIA TAC AND TCM.

Hayes Custom has not only awesome prices but their turn around is great.
This is mine after Hayes Custom work:

Beautiful gun. Can I ask a favor? Can you take a full side view pic of your gun? I'm trying to see how the Hayes magwell looks from the side to see if I might like it. I haven't found any pics of their magwell on a gun.

Also wanted to verify if the R1 mags function properly (without any additional basepads, etc.) with the Hayes magwell installed?

  3. Just purchased a RIA HC frame that I'm building with a 6" Fusion complete slide. I'm not going to compete with the pistol, but wanted a long slide in CA and this was the easiest way to make one.

My frame did not come with a Magwell. I like the look of the stock magwell and don't want to go through the headaches of worrying about really expensive magazines to work with something like the Hayes magwell. I have the "tail bone" style frame as depicted on the Hayes website.

I wanted to see if anyone has a stock magwell they are willing to part with?

I also want to look at upgrading the trigger. I don't have any experience with 2011's. What options do I have? 43a78a8025ad2d8a746210f7a8e3da76.jpg
