Combination Post here.
I have one of the first Sig P320-X5's out there, and it came with an uncoated stainless barrel. They later changed to a nice black DLC coating. I've been tempted to do a TiN coating like some custom Glock barrels use, and I think STI uses it as well. I couldn't really find a good company until I came across Brazen Firearms out of Ohio. Prices were good, and reviews were great. I sent them the barrel and tungsten guide rod out of my gun, had them back in about two weeks. Coating is done great, and I expect it to hold up decent. This is purely a cosmetic mod for me, but maybe some of the grime that gets on the barrel will wipe off easier.

Second up, was Alma Cole who did some grip work for me. I was previously running some skate tape grip, but wanted something less bulky and more permanent.

Not sure about the 17 rounders, for 21 rd mag+base pad, 22 rounds can be fit in there, but you can't load the gun with it
I use the factory 21rd magazines, Springer pads, and Gram followers. I load em full, 23rds. Depending on the stage, I'll barney a round sometimes, sometimes I don't. I've had zero issues either way.

I have a holster from RHT for my Sig P320-X5. I don't think there is any play but I'd have to double check. I had some kydex wearing off as well the first few draws/insertions. I wouldn't worry about it - just makes it a better fit.

Freedom Munitions 147gr new loads, chrono at 890 FPS.
Springer Tungsten Rod and 13lb Wolf Spring. Good combo.

Could we get a link to Robert Burke?
Great guy, he'll also do free annual checkups of the gun if you purchase a competition package and wish to send the gun back to him.

Modding guns is one of the fun things about having them. Having said that, unless you could outshoot the gun stock, you really cost yourself a fair chunk of money thinking you have to have all those things in it to be competitive.
Oh I'm aware. I love modding everything I own. Only guns that don't have upgrades that I own are my collectibles. I was merely posting so people could see the price point if they go "all in" with the P320-X5.

Just got my P320-X5 back from Robert Burke. I had him do his competition action job. Turnaround was about 2 weeks from when it left my house to when I received it. Dry firing shows it as much improved. Trigger pull weight seems to be the least changed, but the shorter take up, smoother travel, and better reset makes it worth it.
He also installed a .190 front site as my gun was shooting way low from the factory and my rear sight was almost maxed out on adjustment.
I'm still running the gun in Limited Minor until I decide on a dot, but right now I have the following:
Burke Competition Action Job
SP Tungsten Guide Rod\13lb Recoil Spring
SP Extended Mag Release
SP Grip Tape
SP Extended Base Plates\Gram Followers
Dawson .190 Front Site
I have a full RHT kit, with their holster and hanger, as well as DAA Racer Mag pouches.
Next step will be to see how the grip tape holds up, or send it to Alma for his grip service.
Overall the gun is great, but to really get it competition ready has cost me a fair chunk of money.

Just a quick update to this if anyone is curious...
2k+ down the hole since getting the barrel/guide rod coated and I can't believe how well it's held up. Literally just spray down the barrel with M-Pro 7 gun cleaner, and wipe off the carbon/dirt buildup. There are some wear marks, but it hasn't wore through the coating and more of an area where you have to rub the dirt off a little harder.
Plus it looks cool, haha.
