Remington Gun Club 2.75 dram (1145 fps), 1 1/8 oz #7.50 or #8.00 shot.
I shot this stuff from day one out of my new M2.
I buy 5 to 10 cases when they go on sale between $3.00 to $4.00 a box per case.
But, if i was worried about breaking in your M2 at the match, they sell 3.00 dram (1200fps) as well.

I put the spacer opposite the side of the shell brass end and placed the velcro tab in the middle (half of the length) of the side wall so the spacer toggles keeping the two or three remaining shells from falling out when running. Even the top shell when the carrier is full does not fall out when going prone.
Here is a post with pictures of my calif comp tac strippers.

I use 3gungear's side saddle that holds eight with his two pack forward of the ejection port. It uses velcro. Had no problems with my M1 or M2.

sSlav.......Semi......you know you want one!!!!!
You do kick A** with that pump though.
JPT do yourself a favor. Get a barrel that accepts chokes. If you don't, you will wish you had.
Beware....3gun is highly addictive.
Be safe,

I was looking at this gentleman's classifiers on USPSA.org.
One of them lists the club as "USPSA President". Click on it, and you M.Voigt's contact info.
I've never seen it before? What does it mean?
I think we should make sure that we know who that person is before we troll the classifier DB for every one who DQ'ed. I don't know for a fact who the person is and I wouldn't want to point finger at the wrong person. If the name that was given to me is correct, then their classification doesn't exhibit an entry like the one you mention, so one us must be wrong
+1.....This is to serious to get wrong. Be careful when pointing figures.

Use what you already have if you are not sure you will enjoy 3gun. Or borrow a friends sg. I would have no problem lending my sg for a match that I'm shooting to someone in your situation.
Otherwise, chokes (a little choke IC or light MOD will make a huge difference) & a tube that will hold 8 shells definitely. That was the easy part.
Which sg, that depends on who you ask. Do a search and you will find a wealth of information on this site.
Why limit only to 3gun? A sg properly setup for 3 gun will serve you well in most if not all situations and all types of matches.
It's not like you will need multiple sg's to play. I use mine for 3gun, ipsc, knockdown steel, etc. Spend the money once instead of buying something you will likely change within a year. Buy once, cry once! A properly setup sg for 3 gun will be great for home defense or can be easily sold if you don't like the sport.
I personally prefer the M2 or M1. It's nice to shoot a match like NC recon or CTI and only have to clean the chrome lined barrel which takes two minutes with a bore brush hooked up to a drill. I like to keep the bore clean and check the choke for lead build up. Yes, enough lead may build up under the choke and cause it to deform. Just a friendly reminder for those that shoot slugs a lot and clean there M* annually.
Just my two cents. I see too many people spend more money than if they just bought correctly the first time.
There are many sg's to choose from and many opinions. Good luck.

Glad to hear the good reviews. I recorded it last night. Can't wait to watch it.

Please post how you fixed the problem. Very curious.

I don't know what a C-rums modified carrier is but it sounds like you may need a stock carrier for your newer barrel to work correctly.
If the carrier moves freely up and down, then it's not the c-rums carrier. I used the carrier on both my M1 and M2. The 24 inch ribbed barrel is for the M2, but should work for both models. I would contact Benny Hill (Benelli Expert) since your short on time.
Good Luck.

Some of the RO's deemed a broken clay as one pellet making a clear hole through the claybird. That's pretty difficult when it hits the edge chipping it where the clay is the thickest. The RM made the correct call when this happened. The system worked.
I was CRO on that stage and i scored that target a miss.
Walkthrough indicated one hole in the bird to score. I advised the shooter to appeal and called the RM. I'm glad he won.
I meant no disrespect. All the RO's were super awesome and super nice including yourself. Please don't take the comments personally. I just mentioned it and provided the rule so that anyone else that comes across the same situation will know. Thank you for the advise to appeal and your personal time you gave up to allow others to enjoy an awesome match.

I really enjoyed the match. Thanks to all that made it possible. Besides the rain delay, the match ran very smoothly.
Being able to bring three guns to a match and use them in combination in a course of fire is a ton of fun.

With practice, you will train yourself to grab as many as you can handle. Work up to four at a time.
I have six six-round strippers from California Comp with tek-loks (the tek-loks are attached upside down so I can remove them more easily without taking the belt off). The tek-loks make it easy to put on and take off depending on the stage, especially for shooting 3gun. That's thirty six rounds good for most courses of fire, assuming you starting with 8+1 in the gun. I always have a bandoleer made by 3gungear in the bag just in case I'm required to start a long course of fire with an empty gun. I rarely have to use the bandoleer, but it's better to have, than have not. The strippers are far more organized that a drop pouch. Far too many times I've seen shooters run out of ammo with only a couple of targets left.
Oops i forgot, you can't miss with bird shot.
Aluminum screw post (1/4" post with 3/8" screws with purple lok-tite) Make sure to place tek-lok high enough (level with the top of the thumb grove) to keep the stripper springs in place . BTW, I put the spacer opposite the side of the shell brass end and placed the velcro tab in the middle of the side wall so the spacer toggles keeping the two or three remaining shells from falling out when running. Also, i added a little velcro to the tek-lok as you can see in picture four.
Hope this helps.

Scott,
Add Old Bridge Rifle and Pistol Club
Website for USPSA www.obcats.com
Website for IDPA www.obdogs.com
Range is located off Route 516 in Old Bridge, NJ at the end of Jake Brown Road. (NOTE: NOT the Jake Brown road off of Route 9)
Also add Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club
Stump Tavern Road
Jackson, NJ
Don't have the exact coordinates. but website is www.cjrpc.org
Thanks. Great work you are doing
The map is ending in the wrong place.......route 9 and Jake Brown road. The intersection needs to be 516 and Jake Brown road or use the coordinates below (BEST). Jake Brown Rd is a broken road and the range is not accessible off route 9.
Outdoor range 40.408941, -74.329736 . This is as far as Google maps will go. Continue to end of Jake Brown Road.
Indoor range 40.386307, -74.347800
Great job Scott. I can't wait to get all these ranges in my POI file on my GPS.

WOW......Match basically filled in less than a half a second.

"The new clock is much more plain, but it is linked to the server and will display the same time whether you are in Seattle or New York."
The sever time was off, but I waited for the server to read 6:30:01 then submitted.

Nik is absolutely correct on this matter. Rule 5.2.1 is very clear. The NROI level 1 workbook even states "You can't strip off belt with the gun in the holster (considerd unsafe gun handling)". It's a just say no. Experienced persons can do this without breaking the 180 or "wave the muzzle wildly", but the rules are for all levels of experience beginner through expert.
Would someone DQ you? They should if the match is run under current USPSA (blue) book. If not a USPSA match, well that's another story.
Respectfully,
Darren

The new rule book is easy to use. All the rules are USPSA specific. No more IPSC rules that don't apply (No extra reading for nothing). Also has a glossary and index. The second and final exam is open book. They don't want you to memorize the book, just know how to find the answer.
Great advise is to memorize the range commands 8.3.?. Old habits are hard to break.
Good Luck.

I use two blade techs from brownells and the leg rig from 3 gun gear. That way I have four mags on me. The T-Rig from three gun gear and the blade techs are very easy to take off and put on for those stages where they are not needed without taking your belt off.
