Sir Walter Gun Club, Located near Creedmoor NC is holding a 4 stage classifier match March 5th. Registration starts at 9 and we shoot at 10. Hope to see you there.

There's no info yet as I just listed this today on the A6 and NC Section web sites. I listed this early as there was a conflict last yr with the IPSC Nationals and didn't wish to have the same conflict this yr.
-
The NC Section will be holding our Section match Sep30th thru Oct 2nd. I look forward to seeing some old friends and making some new ones. We filled up last yr so make your plans early..Bill.

Personally, I'd just like to get the tshirt I bought and paid for but have yet to receive after numerous promises.

Hi folks..well, the 2010 NC Section match is in the books. We had approx 235 registered shooters and approx 229 showed. This sets a new record for the NC Sectionals. I can't say enough good about the RO's, Stats, support staff and the shooters themselves as they all pitched in to help paste and reset the range. We did have a few issues (No chrono as we somehow broke 2, and we overlooked having more porta potties than we did). Our range sufaces were a "little" muddy but were in surprisingly good condition considering that we had 7-9 inches of rain in 2 days. Again, thanks to all that came and worked and shot our match..Bill.

Hi Yall..well, we're at 224 registered shooters. I never thought we'd fill up like this but we have. Please introduce yourself to me when yall come. I'll be the big, ugly fella on a 4 wheeler.
-
Hi again. The match now has 203 shooters and Sundays full. I still have 21 slots left for Saturday.
-
-
Can you tell me when the Match Shirts will be mailed? I got my polo but never received my Tee.
-
Folks, we're at 182 shooters as of today. All of Sundays slots are taken and we've about 35 slots left for Saturday. We've decided to waive the late fee so the fees still $85 bucks. If you wish to shoot this match, now's the time to enter.
-
Hi folks..we've 150 shooters signed up thus far for the match. We've still got slots available. I'd appreciate it a lot if ya'll would sign up soon, if you're planning on shooting with us.
-
Yeah, I didn't receive mine either.

As I said on another thread it was a great match, great stages, and even better RO's. Those guys and gals WORKED! I was part of the "Lost Boys" squad, 356 and I really appreciate all the hard work and efforts that it took to put this match on. I wasn't too fond of the hybrid squadding however.

Great match..I was part of the "lost boys" squad..356. Gary Stevens got to know us well. I can't say enough good about the match, the stages and the RO's. I've been around for a "while" but I have to say that this group, over all, was the hardest working group I've seen in a while. Thanks guys. (I wasn't too fond of the hybrid squadding however).

On stage 7 the weapon was placed downrange while the shooter was holding onto a bar attached to the wall, facing uprange. I can see how the entire scenario played out. The DQ was fully justified.

I posted this on the IDPA forum the other day but never got a answer so I'll ask here. What was the rationale for the new rules? I'm neither pro or con on them, I just would like to know the "why".
-
I didn't suggest it was unamerican Seth but I will stand corrected and acknowledge that it IS a great American success story..
-
Ian wins...Lord help us..a Brit is Americas top shot..
-
This is getting good..
-
Ok, who's going to place a gentlesman wager on whom now?
-
OMG..JJ's OUT...damn..
-
And the suspense mounts..
-
I want to see JJ win also but ol Pete has kinda grown on me with his whacky attire.

Did anybody else notice that the HK-93's sights had to be adjusted with each shooter. I wonder if the staff put the sights on "0" after each run. I hated to see Blake go but he handled it with all the grace and dignity of a true champion.
How to get people taping?

What we do at our club, which has been quite successful, is to tell the shooters than shootings a option, pasting and resetting isn't. Anybody that continuosly won't help is counseled on range etiquette. If that fails then we will apply a unsportsmanlike penalty. We've yet to have to do this. Peer pressure and proper range attitude works.
