From the factory, you should have the extreme disconnector and extreme firing pin.

Maybe they are the same for shapes  and materialI , but I do not have them, I asked  to Customer Assistance too ( I also needed to be sure about the dimensions of my  frame ).

I'm out of home for 3 days so I can't check my gun, but I should have a 2 piece sear.

Keep in mind that the photo was taken pre-polish: my 2nd or 3rd time that I went shooting, the first time I used grease and that day I learned to shoot lying down in a sandy environment, After that the gun was mirror cleaned, no harm in any way x.

What do you use to polish the hs and fps channels ?

I used 1500 or 2000 sand paper soaked with polish (if I rembember correctly).
I used autosol polish, living in europe the most mentioned polish cost a lot or I spend more in shipping than the product itself..

  2. Excuse me, but what are the advantage of 1 piece sear vs standard polished sear?
The titan hammer is "just the hammer", I also need to buy the extreme disconnector? ( what are the difference between extreme and standard?)
While for the firing pin, is the standard pin safety  fine or I need to by the extreme version and file it?

Right now I'm oriented towards extreme guide rod, light hammer spring, light firing pin spring, titan hammer.
the extreme plunger is that good? IMHO a oiled and polished standard one is the same, maybe just the spring is different...

    Thanks to all!

  3. Hello guys, I'm going to re-tune my gun...
After polishing with the guide from MenphisMechanic I want now to replace the hammer spring with a lighter one to achive 5lb trigger pull...

Since I read a lot of failure on igniting primer and some spring I have bought are longer or shorter ( sadly my gun store has more experience on cz).

I want to ask you if you can give me a shopping list  ( with weight, length and brand) to achive the 5 trigger pull with no failure/malfunctions.

If necessary guide rod ( is mine good enough? I have in mind the extreme version but not sure if worth), hammer and  firing pin can be included too!

For parts avaibility keep in mind that I have last stock3 model and I live in Italy but I have some co-worker that is going to america soon.

    Thank you!

What caliber? 9mm? If so, an 8 pound wolff recoil spring will be better.

Your method of racking might be improved. The fastest way is to insert the mag and then FROM UNDER THE SLIDE, pinch the front serrations and rack. When the hands meet, form your grip and start shooting. That takes some grip strength and practice.  Alternatively, you could also put your hand on top of the slide (where fingers meet palm), and push down to rack.  I use a light grease in the frame / slide rails.

If it still is hard to rack, detail strip the frame and slide. Put metal polishing compound in the rails and rack it 100 times pushing down hard. Repeat with fresh compound while pulling up hard. That will smooth it out a lot.

It's not impossibile to rack, it's just sharp and a bit tedious to rack fast! it's  a 9x21 ( italian 9 mm )

What is the factory recoil spring lb on a Stock 3? (in 9mm)

    should be 14 or 16lb

  5. Hello guys,

I'm having some trouble with reloading without cutting myself..

Since I'm at beginning most "exercise"/ training involves starting with empty chamber, so loading at start.

Since the slide cuts are very "sharp" and while rushing I don't grip the slide firmly/good most times at the end of the session I have multiple cut on my index finger...

I was given a  wolff recoil spring  of 11lb + firing spring  of a CZ shadow;  I've installed the recoil spring while the other I'm not sure if is compatible or not.

The situation is better now, but I'm still looking what to do...

I plan in using the enos' standard greese instead of the wd40 on the slide's guide, not sure about how much will help, nor if it's the correct choose!

What are the spring involved during racking? what do you suggest?

    thank you all!

    P.s.: about 1000 round shooted

p.p.s: from next week I'm going to shoot hand reloaded bullet!

    Welcome aboard :)

Looks like a great gun - we have some real experts on that gun here at BE -

I'm sure they'll be along later in the day to introduce themselves.

    Where are you, in Italy?

About 20 minutes from Milan,   90min from Tanfoglio's factory.

Maybe Later in this year ( If I don't have alredy polished my gun ) I'm going to do a trigger job directly at Tanfoglio, I heard they perform that job too!

    Thanks at everyone!! :D

  7. Hello to everyone!

it's weird to join an US forum with an Italian Gun( and I'm also italian ) , but seems that there is not a similir forum with so many guys and guide about tanfoglio Stock 3!

I'm new to shooting, about 1.5k round shooted, 700 with my Stock 3 ( in picture below ).

Hoping to share and get ideas about my "new" gun!
