  1. Are you trying to use the included drop that came with the INTL?  if so, i had the same issue with mine.  The problem was in the included drop.  It's somewhat flimsy and when it bent in or out on the draw the gun (mine was a G34) would hang.  Try a more rigid drop like a Boss Hanger....I'll bet that will fix the problem.

  2. At online vendors, I haven't seen them higher than $1800...is the $2200 you're referencing Canadian or AU $s?  My boss picked one up yesterday for $1600.

at a more "normal" 1k vs $1600....i think the added benefits on the TSO pay for themselves.  Better frame, checkering, grips, sights, thumb rest, magwell, hammer...all that i think would add up to the difference.  Plus, the TSO is just a sexy beast out of the box.  You certainly don't "need" to do anything to the trigger.

My only complaint with the TS/TSO is the safety.  I put the shadow2 safety on mine after having problems with both the stock safety and the extended version from CZC.

Ended up putting about 50 rounds through P-10 before dark this evening . I was shooting a plate rack at 16 yds and it shot POA with some 9mm ammo I had in truck. Out of the 50 rounds I had about 10 FTE mostly shooting weak hand only . It appeared to be short stroking . So, not really off to a great start with the P-10 but I'll clean it tonight and lube . I'm thinking the factory recoil spring is on the stout side . The ammo I had in the truck was 130 PF . I may have to up the powder and see if that helps the FTE problem.

Oh...it did fit my IDPA CCP box with room to spare.

I wouldn't worry about this too much.  I've had 3 gen4 glocks that took around 50 rounds of hot 124gr nato Aguilla before they'd cycle my powder puff gaming loads.

Attempted to install a S2 wide safety in my TSO just now and it didn't fit... did yours drop right in? I was able to physically get the s2 safety to go into the frame if I removed the entire sear assembly.. once that was out it was apparent the safety shaft that goes into the frame was too wide

Yep, it dropped right in.  Can you post pics of the issue you're having?

  6. The stock mag release on the S2 is awesome.   I can imagine you could pull the screw and take the paddle off...but why?

  7. Shot my match today with the shadow2 safety on the TSO.  Just a club match but 4th overall and 2nd among pistol shooters (PCC Took 1&2)  I had no issues with the safety and I believe this is the way to go with this gun. CZ USA needs to get it in gear and start offering this part on their website.

I think ive finally got this gun running on all cylanders for limited division.

-Chop the slide stop or use the included pins without slide stop to prevent accidentally locking the slide back.

-CZ custom base pads with grams springs and followers.  21 rounds, 20 reloadable without tuning.

-Blend the magwell.  Easily done but from the factory this is the Achilles heal of the gun.

Shadow2 safety. Ledged left hand side with flat right hand side.

Springer pads relative to the CZC pads are junk. The set screws can be damaged by dropping the mag with a few rounds in them... not to mention they require a tiny ass tool to disassemble at a match.

  8. Just an FYI, right after I got done cleaning my S2, I checked the frame width of the TSO and S2.  To my surprise, the width of the frame on the TSO and S2 are identical. I was able to install the S2 safety into my TSO and I think this safety is the way to go with the TSO.

The stock safeties are too far forward for those of us with small hands to reach. The CZC larger rocker safety is too easy to accidentally engage (as I became all too aware of at the Alabama sectional last week).  Not to mention the right side ambi safety can be held upward if you get a little too high. The thin right side on the S2 safety eliminates this issue.

I'm not sure if CZ has these up for sale yet but if they are, I believe they are the way to go. If nothing else it should help some of you justify a shadow2.

After my match tomorrow i'll see if the S2 mag release is compatible with the TSO as well.  The S2 mag release is awesome.

so yours hit point of aim with the front sight dot covering the bullseye?

You use the top of the front post as POA, not the dot on the sight.   The dot is not the point of aim, it's there the help you pick up the sight during the draw and track it during recoil.  You could get a tall enough front to allow you to do that, but you'd be completely obscuring the target with front site focus...not good on distance shots and tiny little steel targets.

  10. Now that they're starting to move, I think it would be helpful for those of us that have pre-ordered to have an official thread to track status of your shadow 2s.  This should give the others of us who are waiting an idea of where we are in the pecking order.  Post the following:

    Pre-order date:

    Vendor (if other than CZC):

    Type/color of S2: (i.e. black/blue, black/black, urban grey)

    Reciept date:

A  pic of your new blaster!!!!

    Cheers!

anyone else hitting really high with their tso 40?
i have my rear sight cranked all the way down, it still seems to be 3-4 inches high at 50ft.
anyone know the front sight height?

Mine came out just right with a 200gr major handload.  I had to tweak height just slightly for the 180s i'm now using, but nothing that wasn't within the range of adjustment on the stock sights.  You can go here, follow the instructions, and order the right height site.

For those of us that have pre ordered we should post up here when we receive it and our pre-order date.  I have one pre-ordered on 12/13/16

Shadow 2 is pretty much like SP01 Shadow. CZ add a slightly better disconnector. but not quite as tight as the current ones being offered.

internals are familiar to the SP01 Shadow, just some dimensional differences.

Improvements of note are the frame checkering. addition of paddle mag release, two sets of safeties, height adjustable rear sight. longer sight radius.

additional weight will be good for some, not so good for others.

So if it needs to be modified anyway, is the TSO still worth the premium over a TS?

I think it's a nice evolution of the TS.  The frame, gas pedal, and sights are a big improvement. The checkering is better, and the orange grips just look BA.

As others have noted the magwell ABSOLUTELY needs to be worked on.  They could have included a larger safety for small hands guys like myself as well. Aside from those two things I don't find the gun lacking anywhere.

Compared to other limited division guns out there it's a pretty good value dollar for dollar.

If somebody wouldn't mind posting an after blending picture with oem magwell I would appreciate it.

I've blended on other guns but with the amount of mismatch on the TSO/oem I have been scared to try to blend because I was concerned that you would need to remove too much metal and weaken the frame. If you can get a good functional end result with no harm to the gun and the oem then that would be a great option.

Here's a pic from when my magwell still looked new and pretty O_o.  I won't be making les baer jealous of my work but it fixed my issue.  I filed this down by hand.  You don't really have to remove much metal.  The rear is just slightly rounded as the as i didn't want to start removing metal from around the mainspring plug.

Edit: and i hope my wife doesn't find this photographic evidence of my bench vise mounted to the kitchen table. :)

  16. I dumped my CZC shadow after pre-ordering the shadow 2.  I'll be shooting limited with my TSO for at least the first few matches of the year, and i think once the S2s are in the wild it will be a bit more difficult to move the older shadows without taking more of a hit on resale.

  17. Good afternoon all.  New member here and new-ish TSO owner.

Quick maintenance question on the TSOs.  Is the trigger return spring as high of a failure-prone part as it is on the shadows?  Just looking to see how many spares i need to stock up on.

aside from spare slide stops, anything else i need to know about TS maintenance?
