Dirt, gravel, asphalt, goat path.  Mud pit, obstacles, rocks, cave.  That should about cover it.

Matt will clarify, but as I understand tier 1- 45# pack includes everything in the pack expect primary rifle and handgun, chest rig (if used), and 1st line ammo.

water will be included, assuming you don't drink it. Weigh in is at finish line, so if you drink it up, it won't count.

Ok, I will plan for water weight on top of ruck weight then.

  2. Went and grabbed my Blue Label G40 that came in yesterday and decided f*#k it, I'll shoot it in the monday night USPSA match.

Managed 4th in Limited, with a gun I had never shot before the first timer went off by my head. That 10mm wasnt as bad as I was expecting, but I was just shooting Herters 180's. My biggest gripe is the small slide release, I want one that protrudes a little more.

All my other goodies also came in for it, which I'll be installing later this week.

  3. A lot of folks are having this issue, yet when sent back to sig, the test shootera there eat up the bullseye with them. They must have the hold perfected or something. I switched to Dawsons, but you can always try to get another front.

Looks good! Curious why you went with the vtac as opposed to the X5?

Got a deal on a VTAC that I couldn’t pass up. After trade, I have less than $500 into it (traded in a P250 and shotgun that I had under $250 into total).

So since you can answer what’s up with the grip the army has you guys using on pistols? I see a lot of pictures  with the strong hand thumb tucked under the weak hand

That I don't know. The one block of "Instruction" I received was a thumbs forwards grip, but many different people have been taught many different ways.

  6. Got my dawson fiber optic front, black rear set off amazon because I had extra gift cards to burn.

I wasn't a fan on the VTAC sights for speed/competition, and since I bought this gun to run limited, I opted for the trusty dawsons.

Installed them using a buddies MGW universal sight pusher, and just eyeballed them on since I forgot my 9mm laser boresight.

I am pleased to report that I didn't screw it up, and they are dead on!!!

First groups were shot at 10 yards, from a supported position.

First group of 4 rounds were 147 Speer Lawman, all 4 in the paster. :D
Second group is 4 rounds of my 124gr Berry's plates over 5.3gr of CFE pistol. Slightly low, and to the left, no biggy.

I then pushed the target stand back to 25 yards and loaded 5 rounds of 147 Lawman again. I used 5 pasters, and the front sight covered it completely, but the results were awesome.

Then I walked up to 15 yards and shot offhand, 124gr Berry's loads again.

I am Sofa-King Happy with this combo, and ready to start using it as my main gun and putting my regular full-size in reserve.

You can shoot it in Limited, doesn’t look like it’s been added to Production gun list yet even though it’s same thing as P320 X-5, doesn’t have magwell and full dust cover so I know some will say not it’s not it has a different weight so NROI has to approve it.

It's actually the same barrel length as the regular full size, so shorter than the X-5 I just realized. I run limited 95% of the time anyways, so I'll hold out until it gets on the list.

I went with the Springer  .25 because they simply made the mag feel more balanced than the .375. I was also worried about being over weight with the .375 but I think I still had 10-12 ounces to spare.

I also went with the .25's. and they are great, but if I end up making a ESP with a magwell, I'll grab a set of .375's.

I think you underestimate the interest that people have in regular "duty" guns.  The average consumer doesnt gravitate towards expensive, niche guns.

Plus, the average consumer is never going to buy a plastic pistol at a grand when they can get the "duty" version for sub 500 dollars.

Yet there's a market for all these $1000-3000 uber Glocks with fancy cut and coated slides with gold crap everywhere new in the box.
