  1. There is no question that the fridge and AC was the deciding factor for me in my planning before I came over in 2006. And with Kurt's good taste in beer and skills of making various home brews, no wonder people come back frequently

  2. Balkans - Baltic.... Kurt, my guess is that you think about PPU (Prvi Partizan) from Serbia (Balkans), Lithuania is in the Baltic area. But I've really never heard of any .308 ammo from Lithuania, so it could be that your answer is correct, and the question is wrong...

But hell, both are in this Europe place ;)

  3. Hi Björn, great to see that you are shooting again.

If I understand this correctly you shoot to the left with your rear sight centered on the slide. So do mine, and a few hundred other Glock 17 I've shoot in the past. My experience is that a Glock 17 with a centered rear sight will shoot to the left. You know where I have my experience from, and that amount of pistols also includes the same amount of shooters. Who, with 3-4 exceptions, also shoot to the left with a centered rear sight.

  4. I'v been using both Remington and Federal primers in the RF100. It works 99,99% after a small mod made by the previous owner. The mod was done because the primers got stuck right before they were about to drop in the tube. A small piece of regular 80 gram copy paper made enough clarence for the primers to pass. Since this works as good as it does, I'v never found a reason to change it.

I've also used Federal primers in the RL 1050 since 2000. Last year I started using Remington because of a noticeable price difference between Federal and Remington. Never had any issues with either Remington small rifle or pistol.

  5. Fredrik,

I think what Benny want you to do is to put an angle where the plunger touches the safety. The angle must be towards the outside for the plunger to hold the safety in place.

If I'm not mistaken, you got Patrik's old gun right?

  6. Erik,

It looks lilke SV pads. It's hard to get 17 in the mag with that pad.

Dawson will give you a reloadable 17 rnd mag, and you will most

likely be able to squeese 18 to start with.

The tubes look like the 120mm, or box compliable tubes anyway...

But I don't really know too much about STI tubes...

  7. I second Phil here, go with BUL if you can only choose between the two.

Even if they say that the new magazine catch for the Tanfoglio is the cure, there are

still reliability issues. I am sure there are thoose with Tanfoglios that never have

any problems, but I have seen too many with problems... A BUL may not be perfect

from the factory, but it's fearly easy to make a 1911 reliable. I would much rather have

a reliable gun, than an unreliable that might feel better...

I actually used to shoot BUL M5. I changed due to various reasons, but reliability and

    shootability was not it.
