Very nice. Looks like you have one with the older frame with the thicker dustcover when some would drill the dustcover to install a scope mount. May need to adjust your holster, but that weight forward will help with recoil and I'm sure you will still make weight.
Came in at 42.3 ounces.... The heavy dust cover is one reason I have wanted this Springer.

I have looked a number of places to find people who have or had a Springfield SSC. I've wanted one for some time and just received mine last night, new from the SACS.
At first glance.... Outstanding fit & finish. Hoping to get it out this weekend and soon to a local club match. I have a few quick pics of it for now and range report to follow.

Where do you guys like your brightness on DPP ?
I am very new to Dot so for last two matches It seem I run it on full bright on sunny day and one down from full bright on overcast.
All the way for me
I don't want to have to look for it.
If it were real cloudy I might drop down a notch or two.

They use to come in that type of case but now a soft bag. I thing you can upgrade if you want to pay extra. My hard case just sitting in the cabinet... never used it.

Is Adam a gunsmith/gun builder? I thought he was the business guy.

Weaver Style Oval Head 6-48 X 3/8"
Yup... got it done. just needed to chase the threads out with a tap.
Installed, and sighted in :-)

Just got my 320X5 set up with the Shield RMS. Just needed to chase the threads with a tap to clean them out. Locktite and snugged up the sight to the gun.
-
I found a 6x48 but only wanted to go in about 3/4 of a turn. Didn't want to bugger up the threads. I'll try again.
Thanks

Not familiar with this red dot. Where did you get it?

I think it’s recommended to use jacketed or plated bullets.

Do as you wish, but I think having two sets of magazines is unnecessary. It is certainly nice, and it is always good to have backups (I have a full set of backup mags), but if you are trying to limit the cash you have to lay out at the beginning I would just get one 170 mag and call it good. That should do you fine until you are able to get more.
agree!!!!
-
Based on your type of holster you should be able to use most of your gear and mags. The comp will not work as intended shooting minor.

What is your oal? It looks like 1.63 or more like the chrono pic indicates, but our post says 1.163 oal
1.163 + or - .002

Working with RHT now to get a holster made for it. With the heavy dust cover nothing I have fits the gun. 30 day wait time on the holster.... something to think about.
