Very nice. Looks like you have one with the older frame with the thicker dustcover when some would drill the dustcover to install a scope mount. May need to adjust your holster, but that weight forward will help with recoil and I'm sure you will still make weight.

Came in at 42.3 ounces.... The heavy dust cover is one reason I have wanted this Springer.

  2. I have looked a number of places to find people who have or had a Springfield SSC. I've wanted one for some time and just received mine last night, new from the SACS.

At first glance.... Outstanding fit & finish. Hoping to get it out this weekend and soon to a local club match. I have a few quick pics of it for now and range report to follow.

Where do you guys like your brightness on DPP ?

I am very new to Dot so for last two matches It seem I run it on full bright on sunny day and one down from full bright on overcast.

    All the way for me

I don't want to have to look for it.

If it were real cloudy I might drop down a notch or two.

  4. Just got my 320X5 set up with the Shield RMS. Just needed to chase the threads with a tap to clean them out. Locktite and snugged up the sight to the gun.

Just received Shield RMS dot after Thanksgiving sale.  Bolts on without any modifications.  8moa dot.  Glass is better than anything I have seen other than Delta Point Pro.  I have not shot outside with direct sun light but it seems auto adjust goes bright enough.

What size of screws are you using???? My RMS did not come with mounting screws.

Do as you wish, but I think having two sets of magazines is unnecessary. It is certainly nice, and it is always good to have backups (I have a full set of backup mags), but if you are trying to limit the cash you have to lay out at the beginning I would just get one 170 mag and call it good. That should do you fine until you are able to get more.

    agree!!!!
