    I think is better you shoot with a Nikon :P :P :P

  2. Congrats to the Champ! Igor, you shot a great match. Great times and very good points!

Looks like that Lopez kid is on his way to dethrone Jerry at the next WS.... ;)

    COOL, Spook is back!

Hey, how are you doing? I don´t know, how much I was asked in France, where this guy from the Nederlands is, shooting the fast Revo....;)

Luca, I hope you send only "official" shoting picture surprise.gif "capiscimi a mmé"

I have some other nice fotos of you too, Igor...;) I´m just uploading a complete album of the EC on my site.... :)

    Sascha

    Thanks a lot "pezzente" :P

    Best, Igor

  3. hehehe ...

Guys, before you start thinking Igor is a serious competitor, let me just finish downloading the 600+ pics I took at EHC and upload some of him, then you'll get a clearer picture of this man ... :P

Seriously though, Igor we're all proud of you: congrats! :)

LOL that depends on what you mean with "serious competitor" . I watched Igor at the EC2004 and thought he was very fast. When he told me he had only been shooting for a year or so, I couldn't believe it. I can only imagine how he shoots now if he continued to practice as hard as he did. So a serious competitor he sure is....

But serious as in "a serious person" LOL........................................no

    ;)

    Uauhhh

Hear this to you is a real big honor for me Spook...

  6. A group of Brazilians and I think some other South American revolver competitors are planning on coming up for the Revolver Nationals.

I'm planning to attend the US Revolver Nationals next year. It will be great to meet a lot of BEnos' friends. It would be great if great names such as Ricardo Lopez and Igor Rosa could attend the match too.

    Hi guys :D

Thanks to all, I'm very happy for the result of this match and for the cool guys in the super revo squad...

The final shoot-off? Sascha vs Igor "pezzente" :P Sascha has won the shoot-off, have shoot very well and very quickly to the metal...

    Ciao a tutti ;)

  7. Hi wheelgunners,

Me and my friend Igor are come back yesterday from Germany, we was at the Nationals Revolver Championships .

Nice match, very fast, .... and very nice shooters in my squad, we had a very good time, .... we was always joking and smiling for all the match .... Italian Style  .

We was with Sascha, (the German Champ. .... well done my friend ! ), and Marcus, Richard, Gunther, and the others.

Thank you for yours ospitality, it is a very pleasure to shoot with all of you.

Excuse us if we had to go away in few time after the match .... but the way to come back home it was very long, (and at the end we was a little really tired  . ).

i hope to be there next year again !

    Luca

    Ciao Luca,

thanks! It was a pleasure for us, having you and Igor at our match! It´s always nice to have some foreign shooters in the crowd (and if they are as competitive as you guys, its even more fun!). Not that I don´t like to shoot with all my german friends, but as I know them since a long time and have shoot with them a lot of matches, I like it very much, to meet new people at the matches! You are always welcome again!

See you in France (with more time for a beer after the match  ) ,

    DVC!

    Sascha

    Ciao Sascha :)

for me too is a real pleasure shoot with all German shooter, you are all time very likeable...

This match is really nice, also with little problem for me...

  8. Anybody know of a place that still has some of the Ed Brown extended thumb latches (now discontinued) or the similar California Competition Works version in stainless/silver color?

I need to buy several and can't any of the Ed Browns and Dillon is out of stock on the CCW.

    Not interested in the Pinnacle.

    Thanks in advance,

    Mike

    Mike,

you have see my extended thumb latch?

    What do you think?

For my "little hand" is fantastic, is possible buy online: http://merkle-tuning.de/baseportal/the_site/Products/list_per_group&group=Tuningzubeh%F6r

Whi my thread "S&W black family" remember you a song "Hungry Heart"...

    Best.

    Igor :)

  9. Are those rubber grips? If so what technique did you use to "sand" them down?

I was wondering because I like my Hogue rubber grips but I want to eliminate the second finger bump and I didnt know how to do it without ruining the rubber.

    Hello,

I use a cutter for eliminate finger bump, after with "my friend" Dremel with rotative paper sand (I don't know the name in english :( ) I eliminate the porosity.

In second time with adhesive mask I mill round all the holes...is big patience work but the result for grip is good...I reload with weak hand...

    Best.

    Igor

For some reason when I see this thread I think of that old tune "Hungry Heart" by Springsteen:

"Got a coupla guns and both of'm are black.

I went out for a ride, and I never came back...."

    Mike,

I don't know the old tune "Hungry Heart"...

    Why this thread remember that?

    Best.

    Igor ;)

  10. VERY COOL LOOKING GUNS!!!! B)

    Thanks :D

Dave, I have a question for you, your moon clips work well with .45gap brass?

    Best.

    Igor

    Hi Igor,

some shooters here (Günther, Markus....) made their own ".45 GAP" brass by cutting down .45 ACP cases...

    Results were very well....

    Best,

    Sascha

    Nemo

I have hear Cliff, it has offered me moon clips for .45 gap but my Swiss friend have ordered to its dealer...I have Heartco match moon clips but at the moment don't have gap brass for tried, I would like tried but in my country is impossible buy it...also to Graf&Son and Starline :(

    Sascha,

I tried to trim my .45 acp brass but the results are ugly

The interior thickness of R-P+P nickel brass is not good for seater the heavy 230 rn bullets.

    Best to all :)

    Igor

  11. Blade Runner eat your heart out!!!

Almost makes me want a wheely....

    ....almost. B)

    :D:D:D

    Revorbaro,

What did you prepare the surface of the Stainless Steel with? Have you noticed any peeling or blistering?

    thanks

    dj

    OBTW,

    Nice looking guns :)

    edited to combat brain-fart

    dj

    dj,

I have sandblasting the surface with aluminium oxide mesh 120 @ 6,5 psi.

I shoot with my gun but I don't have any problems...the first revo I have paint the last year and after one year of training that not have minimum problem.

This paint is very hard ;)

    Best.

    Igor

  12. Hi guys,

I have tried to paint my revo with KG Coating and the results are very good!

Is high quality coating, very hard and resistant to abrasion ;)

Nobody of you I have tried this products?

I recommend them, this paint are cheap and easy to apply.

    Best.

  13. Hi Jason,

I live in Italy but the law is the same of Germany, the cylinder release is not essential firearms part and is possible to buy and ship without problems.

The problems is for buy and ship the cylinder, barrel, ant the frame.

Contact Mrs Sylvia Merkle before you go in Germany because the Artrade thumb latch is out of stock in date 07/05.

    Best, Igor

  14. Merry Christmas and good holidays from Italy to all guys :)

    Best, Igor

I also wish you and your colleagues a merry christmas!!! It was a pleasure to shoot with you in Ecuador B)

I hope I have the luck to meet you at one of the matches next year again!

Merry Christmas to the other shooters I know or don't know yet.

    greetings

    Agnes

Welcome to the forum Agnes :)

For me too as a big pleasure shoot with all guys from Germany, are all very kind :D

Is possible meet you next year at the German National perhaps...

Best wishes also to Markus, Gunther, Joakim and Sascha.

    Best, Igor

  15. I'm going to try to detail clean some of my S&Ws over the long weekend. For reassembly, what's your favorite lube for the pivots and rebound slide? I've got Slide Glide Lite, Gunslick, and Browning's version of the grease everyone sells in a syringe. Is there anything out there that's demonstrably better enough to make it worth getting something else?

    Y'all don't eat too much today. :)

    Hi Chuck :)

I clean with Tetra Gun degreaser spray, and I lube the rebound slide with a mixt of Break Free n° 1 (Military specs) and Tetra Lubricant, for the pivot of hammer and trigger Tetra Lubricant.

In the sear only Break Free, my friend gift to me a bottle of Militec-1 I must try it but task that Break Free is the best :D

    Best, Igor

  16. Igor,

Instead of Florida, wait until the USPSA Nationals and come then.

You might have company, Spook, Richardo, and hopefully a few others from the states that for some reason or another did not shoot last year that normally do.

I will miss the Florida Open myself, but I'm not that good and need to practice all year just to not embarrace myself at the Nationals.

Hopefully see you there, Might have to check in on the German Nationals and tag along with Jerry if he goes. ;)

    HOP

    Hi HOP :)

The German National it's to my capacity, is possible to go with a car in 8 hours...

It's a big displeasure for me not partecipate at the FL Open, this is good occasion was to meet all you revo's shooters :(

I hope of being able to paretecipare to yours national, is in september?

    In which city?

    Best, Igor ;)

  17. I'll be going. I usually shoot the match all day Friday. If there are enough revos who can't do that, I'll go with the two day shoot. It would be cool to have a Revo squad. I hope Ricky Lopez and Igor can make it????

    Igor????

    Hi Cliff,

for me this year is impossible go to Florida Open :( for two reason, the first is my work for the Olympic Winter Game in my town, the second is the money... go to your country is very expensive :(

It's true sin not to participate to yours match, task is much beautiful experience.

I hope see soon you and the other guys :)

    Best, Igor ;)

  18. The JM model might be worth the extra money, if you like a gold bead and Jerry grips. I personally do not, and would much prefer a nice used "regular" 625 in the $425-450 range.

From what I've seen, the JM model offers no advantages over the base 625 in terms of accuracy, smoothness of action, or anything else.

    Mike

    Hi guys :)

You are very lucky in U.S.A., in my country (Italy) the revo they are much more expensive

Task that the model JM does not have good differences regarding the normal 5" 625, I have tried 4" JM but it has not satisfied me :(

Personally I prefer the new models of series 8 to the model of 1989, the double action with MIM parts seems better and more fluid.

Now I cut the hammer (thanks Mike!) now the weight is 17 grams against 32 of the original hammer, and I change the rebound spring, the action is 4.8 lbs, for my is really good this :D

    Best, Igor ;)

  19. Hi guys,

About the revolver teams, I am sure Brazil will have one. It will be a little bit different from the last WS team (maybe some names will change) but we will be shooting. Ricardo Lopez said me the guys from Ecuador (he and the others) will come.

So, until now we have 3 teams (US, Ecuador and Brazil). Maybe somebody from Europe would be interested. What do you think Igor (Revorbaro)?

    Bye,

    Hi to all,

I think this is a good idea...if you could I would participate every week to a international match, but the money they are not never enough...

Perhaps I will participate to the Florida Open in Febraury, sure if I have economic availabilities I will come to the Pan-Am...

Is always pleasant to see you and Cliff and to even know the other guys of the forum.

I will make to know you in the following months...

    Best, Igor
