  1. Any word on when a 5" without the thumb safety and without the loaded chamber indicator will be available?

You could order the plugs to fill the void after removing the thumb safety. S&W should send them to you for free. Just an option...

  2. I ran my new m&p 5" 2.0 in Production for the first time last Saturday. I was pleased with the performance, although the slide safety takes some adjusting to. The felt recoil seemed lighter to me than other M&Ps, but I haven't had a chance to shoot them side by side.
I did notice the slide "auto forward" on a couple reloads during the match which I thought the newer slide stop was supposed to prevent. No complaints from me but I'd like to do some more range practice with to make sure it just wasn't a fluke.

  3. I've skimmed thru the production rules about mods to internal parts and wanted another opinion.

I changed out the grip safety of my xdm with a PRP extended one awhile back. Will this "visibly" external mod kick it out of production or is it still covered under internal parts? Thanks

  4. let me know if the pictures don't work. If they do, as you can see, my hand follows the trigger guard up and i wrap the FCS thumb over. I never flag my hand and my hand is not covering the ejection port. If you believe this is too close to the ejection port, your just being ignorant as using the rears is actually closer to it especially if you cup the rears.

This right here is a good example of using front serrations. I like my pistols to have them as well.

  5. I was already shooting a xdm 5.25 in 9mm for IDPA, so shooting Lim minor was a cheap and easy transition. I don't see myself winning trophies or being on TV so I enjoy where I'm at. That being said, I do love the idea and looks of a 2011...

  6. Following this thread for interest. I've been shooting USPSA coming up on a year now with a XDM 5.25 9mm. Now mine has PRP parts, springer magwell, and a couple other things but I consider it an entry level gun. I have looked hard at the CZ or even a 2011 in .40 but still stay in Limited just move to major. A lot of great info on this forum.

  7. I figure it's cheaper than owning a hunting lease or being in $1500/yr club w/ everything else that goes with it. Living by the water it's a whole lot cheaper than having a boat too.

In all honesty though I really don't keep up with it too much. I may start to feel bad...

  8. Just ordered Stoegers dry fire manual and starting to incorporate more dry fire into my practice. I've only been shooting for about a year and look forward to getting better.

  9. What info do you need? I shot this match last year and Jeremy did a great job putting on a match worth shooting. I shot the pro am, SE georgia pro am, and JABS for steel matches and still feel like I got more bang for my buck at JABS. Whole hog cook out, amazing prize table, and a lot of fun.

The only thing that went wrong was the weather! Seriously, though. This is a great oddball match that should interest everyone. I'm shooting irons and open this year. Can't wait to make the steel ring!

Sent the check in yesterday, I was mainly just commenting to get updates on the thread. Sounds like a great match. Thanks for the info.
