Lone Wolf 'Classic' connector, 4lb striker spring, modest polishing on the trigger bar and striker block. Smooth pull with no wall, a little over 3# weight. I have done this with three Gen 5's now and have been very happy with the setup.

I will weigh the ss guide rod and TF basepads when I get home this evening, if nobody else has posted before then.

How heavy are your Springer basepads and how heavy is the tungsten guide rod?

The rear sight, along with the facts that I wanted a second pistol for Production and the Walther rebate doesn't include the Q5, prompted me to purchase a 5" PPQ yesterday to back up my Q5. The regular PPQ will likely end up being the primary Production gun with the Q5 relegated to backup status and the occasional Carry Optics flirtation.

Pretty much the same. A borrowed PPQ 5" had a slightly lighter/crisper break than my Q5, actually, even after break-in and a bit of polishing on the Q5. I doubt that's a typical case, though.

I just found out yesterday that the Glock 34 Gen 4 Jager steel guide rod is the same diameter where it touches the barrel and slightly longer than the stock Q5 Match guide rod. With a different washer at the front end of the rod to hold the spring, it fits beautifully. Didn't even think of looking at one of my Gen 3's. I'll check this evening and report back.

I have a grip question for you, if you'll humor me:
It looks like you are using one of the smaller grip modules on your Walther (either the small or medium). Since you are a tall guy, I assume you have fairly large hands and long fingers. So, are you able to get much left-hand contact with the grip of the gun while shooting freestyle, or are you mostly crushing the fingers of your right hand with your left hand?
The reason I ask is because I seem to have a much more repeatable index with the medium grip module on my Walther, but have more gripping surface on the weak-hand side of the gun with the large and seem to be able to control recoil better.

Normally, I would agree with this. However, 5k or so rounds on a Gen5 G17 with absolutely zero light strikes on a 4# striker spring with the stock striker has changed my tune. Winchester primers, Dillon 650, sample of one, YMMV, yadda yadda. I did recently replace the spring as a preemptive measure, since the trigger was starting to feel lighter than I felt necessary.
ETA: A couple thou rounds on a second G5 G17 and five hundred or so on a G5 G34 as well. Same trigger config, same ammo, same reliability.
