I'm thinking the targets would be blown over before any factoring needed to be done...and forget about any steel....
they would all be movers I guess!

So I am thinking about these guys shooting with a hurricane bearing down on them and I was wondering how much or little wind before you have to start factoring it into your shots? I know USPSA doesn't have super long shots but would a 60mph cross wind effect a 15 yard pistol shot?

what did shooting on "Team Sig" mean? I don't know much about that type of sponsorship and what benefits these shooters even got? Did they give you all sorts of free guns and ammo or pay for your travel/expenses/match fees? Or did you just get to wear the team shirt?

Are you correctly setting the peak, waveform, and minimum split and then marking all shots (usually splits by default)? It shouldn't take more than 2-3 mins/stage once you master the UI.unless you shoot indoors.... then you basically have to tag every shot manually.

I found a few incomplete castings in my latest batch where the base of the bullet didn't get fully formed and a couple bullets that look otherwise normal but with flat tips. These are 200gr RN .40s. I've also gotten a few what I think are 9mm bullets in the bag. Didnt measure but they look like 9mm. Not a big deal except I use a bullet feeder and the 9s drop into the case and make a mess and the incomplete bullets will drop in and seat. Not what I want loaded for a major match. This is after 3 or 4 cases without issue.
how is there support when you tell them they have these types of issues? Or is this pretty much normal for bullet manufacturers to have these types of problems?

The cross reference / human error aspect is a good point. I'm going to get the book and also use those websites to double check. I see a lot of people posting reloading data here as well and it could be used to double check those as well. I'm sure there are several mistakes here as well.

welcome to the site!

There are many ways to find load data. The powder manufacturer usually has a website that has their load data on it...
As for the book, the previous edition will be a great reference...while it may not have 100% of the current loads people are using.
excellent. thanks for the help.

wow thats surprising. It will be interesting if everyone is like Tim and will stick with their sigs or if we see some ppl switching now.

what class is that HF?

I am new to reloading and so I need some source of load data. How important is it to have the latest edition of these loading handbooks? I can buy the edition before the latest for pretty cheap. I only load 9mm right now so my needs are pretty simple I guess. Or perhaps I don't need a handbook at all? Are there better ways to get load data than a book?
thanks in advance.

I thought X meant you were classified but your membership expired. So X is for X-pired. As opposed to U which is unclassified.

Its an interesting idea though. USPSA/IPSC should have a season in addition to just major matches. Earn points for finishes in lvl 2 and above and the one with the most points at the end wins.

wow thanks for this link. That site is sweet.

I just picked up the Frankford Arsenal tumbler from Amazon. Has everything you need to clean the brass. I did 2 runs so far, one with their packet of cleaning solution and one with dawn and lemi shine. The dawn + lemi made the brass look better.

Honestly Grip tape was the number one helpful upgrade next to trigger I did on my xdm.45 for He-Man 3gun nationals that made a difference.
+1 trigger and grip tape

I agree with the above but keep in mind you will most likely lose a good portion of your brass. I would rather lose 9mm than 38 super! If you get hooked like most do you will most likely want to shoot the 9mm so you may as well start with it.
+1
