  1. it's a die that you adjust to the powder level you want, then if you overfill or underfill it jams up your press until you fix the situation.

Haven't used one, but from what some people say it can be a bit touchy to adjust. Others think it's better than sliced bread.

There's also the hornady powder cop die, which AFAIK just gives a visual indicator so you don't have to peer inside the case.

    Thanks,Randy

  2. buy the lee and tell us what  you think about it.

I bought a Loadmaster in 1997 it flipped primers from the start and set them in sideways at a rate of 6 per 100 .. The indexer was inconsistent at about the same rate ...A call to the factory was no help ..... I think they will fix it for the cost of parts and shipping only???

That said I still like Lee dies and won't load without a Lee factory crimp die in my tool head ...

I just got a 550B from Chad at Egun.. Great press ,Great service ( Chad and Dillon)

I wish I didn't go the cheep route in 97 .. Dillon stuff is pricey, but I think it worth every cent in saved time and eliminating set up and operating frustration.. Check resale prices on Ebay some stuff has gone for more than retail.... That's as good as a money back guarantee with no time limit ....

That's a liile more than my 2 cents worth.... Thanks,Randy

  3. It's taken 3 1/2 years, but I am finally getting back to working on this project.  I had planned to finish my custom Glock barrel design first, but got a rather lackluster reception to the idea when I brought it up over at GT....

Check out the  old article I wrote a while back and let me know what you think.

Try a few strips of paper under the toolhead lugs to shim it up this should let you see if the clamp will do any thing or not ...... I think it should be able to find it's center and the top of the lug never changes so after its set it should stay set....my .02 Randy
