  1. I have a DVC limited, Brazos hp edge, and another sti tuned by Brazos. I believe choice all comes down to preference, although the edge it's insanely flat and smooth I prefer the speed and feel of the lighter slide of the dvc. The only thing I am certain of is that a metal grip makes a huge improvement on all guns.

  2. The sv has better fit and finish  but will also cost more.

the pt feels great and has a matching back strap as well as a "pinned" beaver tail.

Honestly you will be happy with either of them, my only recommendation is if you chose sv don't get micro pockets. More texture is always better.

  3. My direct copy from another recent post

I have 3 sti pistols that have all been problem free, 2 where tuned by brazos and 1 factory dvc. I have upgraded the grips on all 3. I have found my Brazos hp edge with a pt evo grip is my fastest and smoothest shooting. My recommendation would be a brazos hp edge and don't look back.

I just purchased another pt evo grip for my dvc to replace the sv grip in hopes it might match the brazos hp edge.

  5. I have the standard micro pockets enhanced grip on one pistol and the Phoenix trinity evo on another, I prefer the more aggressive evo grip. I feel the infinity grip moves around too much as its honestly pretty smooth. It's enough of a difference that I will most likely be changing grips soon.

  6. I own both mentioned STI pistols. The edge from brazos has a better trigger, the pistol was perfectly sighted in, double taps are amazingly close grouped. The DVC has a better grip, less felt recoil, and less movement in the front sight during follow up shots.

Both have pros and cons, personally I prefer the DVC but with spring tuning and a grip change it would probably be a wash.

That being said they are around the same cost minus any upgrades.
