Yeah, I look at the results for Pala and just think "wow!". That club is a model of how to grow and get stuff done!
SAC, I have zero experience with the camera based systems beyond using them in demos at SHOT show one year. I don't think I could accurately do a group of them justice. Should a manufacturer of one want one tested for the TJ I'd gladly go forward with that idea.
Currently the article I am writing next is a spin on the articles you see in health magazines that are of the "eat this, not that" kind of deal.
I do the same thing. I miss the amount of matches that the SoCal area offers. I do like having a much larger collection of firearms though. Looking forward to my move back to TX at the end of the year. Hopefully San Antonio has more matches to frequent during the month than Eastern GA. Ill have to read your article Rowdy. I haven't had the opportunity yet.

My thoughts were unless the recalculate or have everyone reclassify under the new scoring there are going to be a lot of people stuck in higher divisions they are not competitive in. Its going to suck for a lot of people that are going to get beat score wise by shooters classified under them. I know it happens a bit now but it will be disheartening for some always finishing at the bottom of their class.
Are we talking about feelings in reference to a competition?

The old classifier was a true test. Match bumps aren't necessarily always a test of skill. Sometimes they are a test of who is playing on that particular day. That's why you saw the disparity, but when you saw a person master the classifier, you knew they were legit.

It really doesn't matter either way. It's like prison, the top will still be the top, the bottom will still be the bottom.

270yd filmed with a xd9 service. 300yd not filmed xd9 tactical.

The advantage to a 26" gun is a tiny bit less weight, and shorter guns point quicker.

That's why my friends were suggesting 24 or 26 as ideal lengths. I guess I'll run the 28 until I see a noticeable disadvantage. Who knows? I may like the 28.

So +9 it is. Thanks for the input. I was thinking 24 or 26 initially because that was the suggestions I got. I just happened to find a new M2 with a 28" barrel for 800, so I grabbed it.
Just be careful if you happen to live in one of the restricted states
I live in Georgia these days. I moved from CA about 2 years ago.

I've got a Benelli M2 that currently has a 28in barrel but looking to get a 26in barrel next week. Should I go with a +7 tube or +9 tube for 3gun?
