I have only gone through 300-400 rounds with it, including a 3gun match today, but no complaints yet. Mine is nitride.

Thanks for the input. I opted for the Taccom +5, an additional +1, and their follower.

Trying to decide on an extension for an M3K I have on order. I see lots of photos and info on the NC extension, but not so much for the Taccom Extreme. I find myself drawn to the Taccom and they are currently offering free shipping and stabilizer. Anyone have any pics of their M3K (or 24" M3000) with Taccom installed? Do they line up about equal with the NC extensions?
I am new to 3GN and plan on shooting Factory, but perhaps PCC or Practical. I figured the +4 extension would prevent the need for a plug, which sounds good. On the other hand, it seems most shooters eventually gravitate to the longer tubes. Was considering a +4 and a +5 to have the option of 8+1, 9+1, and 13+1. Another option is two +4's, but think the +5 option may be nicest aesthetically.

It can be a bit of a pain to get the mag in, but retrieval is smooth.

Anyone having trigger reset issues. Gun was running fine for a few thousand rounds and then stated getting a dead trigger. With a hyperfire and light spring set. Switched to a Timmy drop in and got a dead trigger every 10 rounds. Was wondering what anyone else is using?
Just using the DPMS LPK trigger for now. I get the impression that anything outside of a basic rounded hammer could have issues. If you have one laying around, try it to see if that eliminates the problem and go from there.

BTW, I read on another thread/forum that Kaw Valley barrels are manufactured by Faxon. Faxon seems to have a good reputation and I am mainly looking at them for a 5.56 barrel to go on the same SBR lower.

Accuracy seems good to me, but I am no great marksman. Mainly been testing function and shooting the one match. I did notice the threading was kinda jacked up on one side of the barrel. Like it was kinda folded over. However, instead of contacting the distributor or Kaw right away, I decided to try and install the birdcage anyway. That put me between a rock and a hard place, as I did get it on eventually, but was not very happy with the end result and they were not willing to accept responsibility. I am willing to admit that I did a dumb thing, probably a one-off issue, and am willing to try more of their products.Hey Slappy how are you liking that Kaw Valley barrel? Decent accuracy? Sure thing. I would have no problem trying another Kaw Valley for my SBR build, but they only offer 4.5" or 8.5" (or more) and I was looking for something in between. So I ordered a 5.5" from Ballistic Advantage. I do like that Kaw Valley uses a light profile for all lengths, whereas BA's 5.5 is government. But I figure at those lengths, probably not a big deal.

Edit - I should add that they did offer for me to send in the barrel and flash hider, but I got the feeling that now that install was complete, it would be considered a non-issue.

I have an AR15 SBR originally registered as a 7.5" 5.56NATO rifle. Now I run it in USPSA matches with a home-built 9mm upper; no-name forged receiver, CMMG ramped bolt, RRA 10" barrel, JP muzzle brake, midlength FF handguard, Aimpoint red dot optic. For a magazine block, I went with a Hahn top-insert unit, which is easy to install and remove - the only downside is lack of LRBHO (no great loss). FCG is a chopped standard GI M16 hammer and a JP trigger with standard GI hammer and trigger springs (not the yellow springs that come in the kit). Metalform 32-round mags have run 100%, and FMK-3 40-round mags are getting there.
I just built a similar setup for my son, but with a 16" New Frontier Armory barrel and a C-More optic... it has run 100% for him so far (much to my chagrin - he beat me yesterday)
Using a regular 9mm buffer lets me switch back and forth between 9mm and 5.56 at will, just by pulling the mag block and changing the upper.
You may well be aware, but you can get LRBHO by installing a 9mm bolt catch. However, caliber changes than require more work. That is what I did on my GWACS lower, as I only plan on running 9mm at the moment. Not sure which way I would want to go on the SBR yet. I know I do not want the dedicated version, but still trying to decide between bottom and top versions...

So with 4 quarters in the buffer tube and a 9mm buffer I had one double today in about 75 rounds. Took out the damn quarters. Going to try this Spikes buffer next
I have heard the Spike's buffer is good. But if I were looking to save a few bucks, I would try out this Kaw Valley from Joebob's. I do not have experience with it, but the specs sound about right and Kaw Valley really seems to be stepping up to meet the demands of the PCC market. I plan to try out their Konza rail on my SBR build.

I built up a colt-style 16" 9mm on a GWACS lower a couple months ago and have put about 500 rounds through it, including one USPSA match. Only one malfunction so far, which I believe was due to Perfecta hard primers.
The lower has a DPMS parts kit, Hahn Precision adapter specific to my lower, carbine spring, and a no name 9mm buffer off of eBay. I was skeptical about the eBay buffer, but it seems to have the right weight and length for my build and is working well. Keep in mind that some buffers marketed as 9mm are just heavier and do not have the extended length that may preserve your bolt catch. FWIW, my buffer is 4" long and weighs 8oz.
For the upper, I went with Aero Precision No FA, Spinta BCG, Kaw Valley Precision barrel, ALG 12" EMR V2 handguard, and a 9mm birdcage.
I am really enjoying this rifle. But I am now planning an SBR build, as I submitted a Form 1 on a forged lower prior to the 41F deadline. I plan to go with the Hahn adapter again, but will need to purchase a new one to work with this lower (poop). Think I have most of the parts in mind, but I was wondering if anyone recommends a stock for an SBR that will see USPSA use. Was looking at the LWRC Compact, Magpul SL-K, and MFT Minimalist. I really like the look of the LWRC UCIW, but don't think I want to mess around with the proprietary buffers/springs.

I have been shooting USPSA and Steel Challenge with the Quantico Shooting Club the last couple of months. I am new to competitive shooting and have not joined yet, but they seem like a good group. I usually get my reloading supplies at The Nation's Gun Show in Chantilly, but may look around more as it seems I will be reloading more often.

I have been shooting at the range and reloading for several years. I just started shooting USPSA and SCSA a couple of months ago and have had a great time. I have been using my M&P .40 in Limited, but have been less than happy with the groups I am able to achieve with it vs. some friend's guns I have shot recently, especially a 1911. I started looking into Single Stack, but I've also been yearning for a full size .357 revolver since shooting and eventually selling my Ruger SP101 some time ago. Then I realized, using moon clips, I could probably retain 100% of my brass both at matches and at the range. Chasing brass around at the range is a pain and I did not even bother trying at matches. So that really pushed me to try Revolver and I have a TRR8 that should be arriving any day. Not sure how well I'll be able to shoot the DA trigger, but I recall doing OK with my SP101, so we'll see. I may try loading the .38 SC eventually, but think I'll start off with .38 Special and go from there.

FYI, PSA currently has Stock 1 (LF and SF) and Limited Pro (SF) on clearance. Not affiliated, just thought it looked like a good opportunity to grab my first one. I went Stock 1 SF since I like the option to mount a light and I recently added some Henning extensions to some CZ mags I already had. Hoping they are compatible.
