Unless there's been a change the cz scorpion mags are the worst mags out there. Every one I had broke its plastic feed lips.

IMO Greg Derr is a fraud. He’s been kicked off several high end 1911 forums. He’s lucky to still be listed on the custom handgun guild page. I’ve got nothing against him personally but I don’t deem him a trust worthy individual
You don't have anything against a guy, but you say he's a fraud and not trust worthy? I'd hate to think what you'd say if you did have something against him. The guy's an outstanding talent and one hundred percent trust worthy in my own bona fide experience.

I'm fortunate to be close to Derr Precision and he's done small work on my guns. I think he's fantastic.

The safariland and Garrett are suede lined which in theory might help. But they hold grit which makes them worse ultimately. A gun shot in uspsa and idpa will get dirty and it's better to have a holster that won't trap the sand and dirt against the finish. The other issue is that those soft lined holsters don't have a good click in.

For the same money get a PM45 and the magwell you like best.
-
they pop up occasionally on gun broker. STI and Sig sold them too in addition to DW.

I got an EGW kit and it feels great. I think the light hammer looks great too.
-
You can still get a pm9 for 1500 if you look around or Range Officer with money left over for some mags and a well.
-
six for a long stage bc don't forget some times you're dropping partial mags

Cajun did mine and a friend's for short money. I had them do a few other things while they had it too. I think it was thirty bucks.

With 1911s there's really little need to see one locally since they're all essentially the same configuration.
Under 2k I'd definitely get a Dan Wesson PM45. I'd get a Dawson or Techwell magwell.
A springfield TRP is nice too but not DW level. The Bul trophy looks great too but I haven't seen one.

I'd say it's worth 1100-1300.

I had a Fusion Reaction. Stay away. A great deal on a poorly made gun with lots of features, still isn't a good deal. Unless you don't really want her to get into the sport, in which case a finicky gun that won't feed will be perfect.
Stay the course and find a Range Officer or Ronin. Even an older STI Spartan.
That's the first negative review I've ever seen on a fusion. What was the cause? Did they address it?

Smith and Alexander makes all aluminum magwell/MSH that is very light.

I have one on one of my SP01 Shadows with the stock f.o. sight and it's great.

I'm intentionally reviving an old thread to ask for help. I bought a Rami slide stop for a steel frame p01. It interferes with the movement of the slide. Has anyone had to fit a side stop or have any insights?

Pretty much although the gaming guns are safety models and the pcr obviously is a decocker but it has a pro CGW kit in it. They all have black rear and front fo sights. Pcr looks very basic.
Thanks for the replies... Follow up question:
If you’ve modified your competition full size CZ’s with trigger work, target sights, competition hammer, etc.... do you do the same modifications on your CZ compact for carry?

I shoot the sp01 shadow and shadow 2 in idpa and uspsa and put together a pcr for aiwb.

The wilson checkered panels are surprisingly nice for ten bucks.

Ahh. No a decocker can't be converted to a safety. It's a different frame.

Think about what you're saying. A decocker lowers the hammer to make the gun safe. A single action trigger releases the hammer once cocked. You could not fire a SA decocker after it was made safe. You'd have to manually cock the hammer. Nobody in their right mind would convert a tactical to SA.

I have to assume the fact that it has an aluminum frame is contributing.
