  1. Hey everyone, wanted to give a heads up that the Strongpoint USPSA club is having a Classifier match on January 7th. The range is located outside of Waverly Hall just east of Columbus, GA.

Here is the registration link. https://practiscore.com/strongpoint-january-2017-classifier-match/register

And here are directions to the range. https://g.co/kgs/tv0qs8

Hope to see you there and Merry Christmas!

  2. The angles/geometry of the 2011 is all based on the 1911 that was originally designed to use the 45 ACP. So loading the 40 long is getting it to closer match the length of the 45 better so the geometry from the mag to the chamber works out closer.

That being said, load it as long as the chamber of your barrel will take it. You should be able to remove the barrel and drop a round into it and use the rim of the cartridge to spin the round freely in the chamber.

  3. Revolvers are on the production list so there should be no reason why you couldn't use one in Carry Optics. I would email DNROI for a ruling on it.

Edit: Sorry just caught the Semi-autos only on the appendix for CO.

  4. No, he would be moved to Open.

Rule 6.2.5.1 - However, if a competitor fails to satisfy the equipment or other

requirements of a declared Division during a course of fire, the

competitor will be placed in Open Division, if available, other-

wise the competitor will shoot the match for no score.

  5. I got my mags in from SPS a few days ago. Had to call my credit card company and e-mail SPS back to get the charge to go through, but had them in hand 9 days later. One of the mags took a little tweaking to get it to drop free, but no big deal, both hold 20 reloadable with the stock pad and spring/follower.

Not bad for the price. Just keep in mind that what the website quotes and what is charged US dollar is a little different because of VAT and the current exchange rate.
