I’ll let you know when I get it. I definitely stopped holding my breath though. I’ve heard people saying that he was taking up to 6 months. And that was before he changed shops.

So, the people at Ghost might have some miscommunication between their customer service teams because...I had originally been sent a DM response that the Hydra P would NOT fit the Rival-S (which is why I posted that above), however, I also got an email saying this (when asking if the Hydra P would fit the Rival-S):

"We are glad to let you know that the Hydra P and P+ is being made for the Canik Rival S we are currently in a trial and error phase with this pistol model and are doing some adjustments with the help of our customers feed back if you do decide to purchase this holster before checking out please leave a note/comment that its for the Canik Rival S.

    Thank you

    Ghost Holsters"

Anyway, I ended up ordering one to see how it'll turn out. We'll see I guess.

I’ve had a GX vice on order since November. After multiple emails and instagram messages he finally responded and said he’s going to update it to a rival S. Hopefully when it finally arrives I won’t have to do anything for fitment.

Let us know how it turns out, please.

I was hoping to get the Ghost Hydra P (I want a locking-type holster for reasons) but they said it wouldn't fit a Rival-S.

    Thanks.

  3. I shoot 40 almost exclusively in my Open XDM but for Steel all I needed was a Springfield XDM 9MM barrel and 9MM magazines. Prolly should change the recoil spring too but I haven't found it necessary w/ Winchester WB or MagTech 9MM ammo. Might be necessary with lesser PF ammo.

Thanks. Now to find a barrel.

  4. My XDM 5.25 9mm did that some times after I put the same kit in. What I found was that the recoil spring was to strong for the new trigger kit. It kept the slide just a fraction out of battery so when I pulled the trigger it made the slide jump forward first then the gun went off. I went to a 14LBS recoil spring and it fixed it.

That seems like an easy fix if that's the case. I'm gonna try this, thanks.

  5. As the title says I have the PRP extreme trigger kit. Love the reset, super light, never had any light strikes, HOWEVER, there have been several times where I'll pull the trigger and there will be sort of like a delayed fire. I'll literally pull the trigger, hold it against the wall/frame and it won't fire until half a second maybe even a second later. People point and laugh and stare at my recoil response anticipation and it's overall a bad time.

But seriously, WTF...I've read somewhere that you need to sand it down more than you think in case of cold weather which would make the polymer expand blah blah who cares about science, but I know I've sanded down the over travel stop enough and it doesn't get cold here (South Texas) so Idk what could be causing this.

Is this trigger more susceptible to dirt and grim being that some of the parts are lightened? Do I need to clean it more often than if it was stock (I never cleaned the stock one)?

    Help me out, homies.

  6. I currently have Springer Precision extended base pads (Xdm 5.25" .40sw) with Grams spring and follower.

My issue is, sometimes the spring or follower (can't tell which) will get stuck and the ammo in the mag just pours out thus causing my gun to malfunction and ruining a stage.

I'm guessing the follower tilts sideways and just jams up the mag.

    How f*#king annoying.

What do ya'll do to combat this? Will the Springer Precision follower and spring fix this issue? Though, it does look to be the same profile as Grams just machined out of aluminum.

Another thing, one of the screws on the SP basepads won't back-out...how the hell do I take it off? Is it a lost cause?

Should I get TTI extended base pads? Will TTI base pads work with SP follower and spring? Should I just stick to whatever spring kit TTI comes with in order to have that extra reliability even though I'm losing that one extra round capacity? What's inside a black hole? Do black hole lives matter? So many questions - what do ya'll suggest?

  7. Don't load them in .40, but I use them in my 9mm. You definitely get more velocity with the same powder charge, as when using jacketed bullets. Therefore my loads with ibejiheads is at least .2 gr less for same velocity with jacketed bullets.

Thanks! Il keep that in mind when loading.

  8. Anyone have experience with loading ibejiheads bullets (because I don't).

Anything I need to do different than I would loading Xtreme?

I bought three different sample packs (RNFP, FP, RNFB) all 180gr. to see how they would differ in my xdm 5.25"...I'm sure they'll all shoot similarly, right? Why do these different profiles even exist?

I've read that these take less powder, is this true?

Btw, I'm using WST because it's what I currently have available to me. And of course, would like to make major PF.

    Any advice would help, thanks.

  9. If you were to use the search function you would find eleventeen kabillion threads in the forum with the info you seek. Next guy will find eleventeen kabillion......... and one.

I did that. And did find eleventeen kabillion threads. Couldnt really find what I was looking for. And gven I'm asking about powder and bullet grain specific to a certain gun I figured the information was critical. I'm probably wrong since I'm still new at this. My bad.
