[Mossberg 930 Gas System Recoil Spring]

Talked to Mossberg Yesterday. They want me to ship them the barrel for service. So it will be going back today and we will see how this plays out.

That's odd that it didn't come complete . When I ordered my turkey barrel for my 930, it came ready to go. All I had to do was install the barrel and go shoot. Is this a new policy or just an oversight?

I am hoping it is an oversight, I'll update after I talk to them.

Thanks for the tips guys. I will be calling Mosseberg on Monday to see if they will send the parts or a new (and complete) Barrel.

For Mbiker101 I have attached two photos showing what I am talking about. The first photo is both barrels (28" on top and 24" on bottom). The second photo is the inside of the barrel lug/gas block, you can see that there is no spring or gas ring included.

Just in case I end up installing the compensation spring, does anyone have any tip for making the install easier?

Ok, forgive me but my google fu is week today. I ordered the JM Pro 24" Barrel for my 930 (came with the 28" ported Barrel). When I was looking at the 24" Barrel, I saw that this barrel does not have the spring on the muzzle side of the gas block. The Barrel did not come with a piston but does have the screw in plug on the muzzle side of the gas block.

So do I take the guts out of 28" Barrel and move them to the new one, or is it safe to shoot with just the piston and barrel as it stands?
